is melee hit not working properly?

i noticed alot playing yesterday that my melee attack just wasn't hitting my target. i was right infront of them, just swinging the air doing no damage. i got the kills, but it took forever.

about half way through the 2nd round i get 2 (maybe 3) melee kills in a row. all with tons of misses.

If my first one does nothing, I'll just shoot them in the back. In a third person game, if your first melee fails there's too high of a chance of you dying.
But I do believe that the melee is not very responsive.

I was playing in a game today with one of the GMs and he said that they were aware of this, so hopefully they're working on a fix.

I don't consider that a glitch. He was standing and you were crouching. The melee doesn't have some crazy range like COD. He should have gotten down to your level if he wanted to hit you.

I find melee works before for me if i'm looking over my left shoulder. I don't know why.
