Right, so I recently bought From Dust on Steam with a coupon I had leftover from the Steam Holiday event. I used this coupon to purchase From Dust on Steam. After installing the game, I opened it up to play. It went the the loading screen with the smoky background. Then the game froze, and I got an error message: " From_Dust.exe has stopped working" All the subsequent tries had it freeze at the Ubisoft Logo, before the loading screen.
it didn't have any details about the error, just that it had stopped working. I've tried several times now, uninstalled, reinstalled, and did nearly everything the Internet could tell me to do. I come here with my last vestige of hope. Tell me, Ubisoft, how can I fix it? And if it can't be fixed, could I get a version of the game for my Xbox/Playstation without having to pay again? Also, I highly doubt it's a problem with my computer, it's a top of the line desktop, and I doubt a little game like From Dust would be too taxing for a machine that can run Crysis 2 at max.

It should be noted that this is not the account I have From Dust on. I made this account to post on the forums, because for whatever reason it wouldn't let me log into the forums with my original account. The account with From Dust has the username FlyingMathias.

Hi there,

I would contact Steam Support [who you purchased it from] - to see if there is an issue they can help you with, some graphics cards / sound cards are not supported, such as laptop versions, so you should check with them.

I would also suggest you reinstall the game.

From my experience with the game, a crash at that point in the process generally points toward your video card.
