I'm a gun nut.
The Ghost Recon series and to a lesser extent the Rainbow Six series has long since been my favorite.
It's my favorite because it offers the most realistic real world guns, scopes, ejection ports on the right side, weapon balances that reflect as well as possible the real world difference etc while not being so cumbersome and slow that it isn't enjoyable. It forced the use of cover, emphasized movement (hold up in a building get grenaded), keeping your head down, slicing the pie and all the like. You couldn't see around a corner without sticking your head out a little.
To this day no video game experience has surpassed the level of tacticool in Advanced warfighter's multiplayer PC version.

but I'm concerned...

For the last game the console and the PC were literally two entirely different games and (for me) the console version completely sucked. After waiting and waiting for the next ghost recon, I find myself watching these great looking trailers but they're 3rd person, cinematic, weapons and tech I could never get my hands on (yes I own a couple very similar guns to some in the last game). The series looks like it's falling into that same mold with gears of war style game play and call of duty style cinematics.

I just want new maps, a new story for campaign and better AI. Let's face it the only reason the last games of the series didn't take over the world was because of the poor AI.
I'm curious, how much attention was paid to upgrading the AI?
Is the PC version going to be first person?
What do other loyal followers think about the direction the series is headed?
