Ok... I've made my new map. Its the goldeneye stack! I got a picture for the loading screen but lets say you want to do a terrorist hunt. When your selecting the map, there are images to the right that show a screen shot of the map. I no how to set that picture in the ini file but i cant load my .bmp into the texture editor. Also, ive tried that .dds plugin for photoshop and couldn't make it save no matter what i clicked on in its options. If anyone has an easy sollution... please fill me in!
Thanks,

you need to import it by going to file > import > open texture > set options >save . this will allow you to edit your text file to reflect it beiing in your saved package .

Ok... In the texture browser, lets say in the package that all the other screen shots are in. I click import, i find the .bmp image i want to import and i open it, i hit ok, and nothing happens. I've even tried using the compression option of d...1 dont remember the letters after the d, but anyway, nothing happens. Am i stupid?

Make sure the dimensions of the image are of base 2 (so make sure is 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512, etc wide, and also 2,4,8, etc long).
I think for that specific picture you make a 256x256 texture, but only use the top left 230 x 130 part and leave everything else black.

Hey, thanks... Didn't know the images had to be in multiples of 2. I'll try it and see if i can get my pic in the texture editor. If I can it shouldn't be hard to change the ini file to show my pic in the map selecting screen... One more question... do you have to distribute the texture package with your map for other people to see the texture on the map selecting screen? Sorry I'm such a noob.
