How to get Variety [Archive]

One of the achievements for the upcoming Med. Traveler pack requires you to get 2 variety bonuses in a round. I'm not super great at the MP, but have alot of fun playing so I keep on. I have gotten variety bonuses in the past, but honestly don't know how exactly.

Can anyone tell me how variety bonuses are scored in matches like Deathmatch, Wanted, etc.? I want to try for the cheevo and really want to know what I'm doing in the matches while I try for it.

You get a variety bonus for every 5 unique bonuses not including game mode specific bonuses.
