Anyone that has any info, I'd be gratefull
My son is about to get his PPL and Mum and I are looking at sending him overseas for his COM license.
We've sent emails to about 75 flight schools, but there's always an unknown element with regard to email communication.

If anyone on the forum knows of reputable flight schools in these areas and any characteristic information on the school, could you send it this way please.
We have Euro passports, but he'll need a student visa for Oz and NZ. Once he's accepted he will most probably be staying be staying in that area, if he can change his visa status

Thanks
K_F.

Edt: Added USA as his visa is valid for another 8 years

Cannot recommend any specific schools for the practical aspects of the flying.

However, if he ends up in Sydney it can be good idea to do the theory aspects through the NSW State government Certificate IV:

The certificate gives you advanced standing towards the Aviation Degree at the University of Western Sydney,

Thanks Galway...
We're looking at straight COM training, which will include (I can gather) a fair amount of detail offered with that Uni course.
Some flight schools in Oz have responded with similar info, but their courses seem to run for 2 years, when a COM is achievable within 1 year, or so.

The problem we're encountering locally and abroad, is that schools want to take you 'for a ride', monetary speaking, So I'm on a mission to find 'Honest Joe' COM school, without compromising quality of education/training. I've picked out 4 schools in Oz, and maybe one in NZ which will require further investigation, but before this we'll have to do our homework on the various Aviation Authorities worldwide. This effort will take us about 3 months, but it'll be worth it.

The other problem is the training at many schools is done by minimum hours recently qualified ex-students from the same school. Its often part of the "deal" they offer to get students to sign up.

Look at what else the particular schools does. For example if a school also did flight crew annual checks, aerobatic training, tail wheel endorsements, float plane training and type endorsements on aircraft like King Airs and Citations plus maybe even offered rotary wing, it is likely to offer more valuable training than a school that just churns out private and commercial pilots.
