Settlers 7: loading issues HELP

HI all,

my game logs in just fine but after it logs in and the screen turns black the gold gloved hand comes up with the hourglass and thats it and i have to force quit (im on an imac). Sometimes it doesn't even get that far, it goes to a box that says "start up failed, looks like your last game start up failed, do you want to reset your options?".

Does anyone have a solution or explantation for this please.

yeah ive sent a message to support, still no reply. was hoping another player had the same issue and a fix for it
