this is a tech support issue, but i figured the forum for AC: FA was the best palce.
I can not save my games. I get some weird notice when i start the game that 'I am not logged in, and therefore can not save my progress', and yet I AM logged into my xbox and xbox live. what else is there for me to log in to?

and i also find it odd that ubisoft has a forum for this game, but it is nt listed under their 360 games.

have you tried formatting or playing it on a memory card? that might work

i FINALLY got it to work, apparently i had to wait to sign in to my xbox dashboard during the game title screen, instead of prior to the game load.

Hey any ideas on how to defeat the Armored Fort Motherwill?

ill give a few tips on it:

1) blades work wonders on these things

2) go for a NEXT with a balance between defence and speed and also change the regulation file in options in ACSIS menu to the one with unlimited EN

3) when you start the mission you will be in VOB mode (if you havnt already seen this) and you can still quick boost in VOB try to dodge as many of the buildings (if your on the ground) and the cannon shots as you can

4) start from attacking the missle launchers then the cannons

I find that a high powered laser rifle and laser blade works well on this one as you can blast the missle ports with 1-2 hits and then cut down the cannons. Time it right and you can take her down without ever having to put your feet on the ground http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

thats what i try doing, but for some reason my targeting turns off (i cant get a lock-on) and i have to shoot line-of-sight. this seems to happen randomly though.

Motherwill. Two grenade launchers, flares, long distance lock. Light that ***** up, don't worry about ammo just gun down the missile pods, two main cannons and thats it.

that sounds great, but as i posted: my fcs/lock-on seems to switch to line of sight only at random times. any ideas what thats about? i cant seem to switch it back either.

Go to options and turn off auto-target. This option causes your weapon to automaticly lock onto closer targets. Disabling this feature will improve your lock-on permanance.

It's a bit late, sorry, but: jmaximum, you're probably pressing that right stick a bit too hard. R3 toggles you into "Luke Skywalker mode" where you aim manually - this is great for e.g. grenades but not so hot when using a laser rifle. Press R3 again to engage your targeting computer.

Do not turn off auto sighting, it does not grab control away from you. You hand control over to it, or grab it away at any given time, a truely great player blends them both together, and yes, you're going into manual aiming. Do what he said to get rid of it.

I had to retype this a few times because I am not going to that level.

Kronos- please, show some respect. Not only on this post but all past and future. One of the most disrespectful of your post was the one about the PA shield. Summed up- "I didn't bother to read anyone's opinion on anything but I wanted to state that you are an idiot because you do not have the same opinion as me". This kind of input is not only useless it is also unwanted, unacceptable, and a violation of the forum rules. Basically- chill out man. You are not going to impress anyone here and nobody wants a fight. I am not a moderator and I am not here to babysit anyone- I am here to have respectful conversations with fellow players. I get that you have a lot of love for the game, which is cool, but obviously we all do. Please, don't take the opinions of others as a personal attack if they disagree. That is all I have to say about that.

Anyway, auto-targeting on any game does not, in any way, make you a better player- period. If you like it and it works for you then that is fine and great- that is your preference. I personally find that it causes the game to switch targets too frequently and therefore causes problems when you want to target one item out of a group. That is my opinion and nothing more.

Bottom line Jmaximum- try different weapons, change some settings around, just mess with it until you get the result that you like. We are all just here to provide some suggestions for you http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I love how you feel the need to reference another post in this one. What about my posts in this thread lacked respect? Also, referencing the other post. The question "will there still be that crappy shield system in the next game" to which 3 pages of whining and 2 or 3 people yelling and insulting each other. Why would I bother doing anything more then skimming through that nonsense and responding to the actual question in the topic. Also, auto-sighting DOES infact make you a better player on all games. Or if you prefer to split hairs, will allow you better results. By blending my own targeting with auto-sighting I can out-perform everyone, especially someone who doesn't use it at all. Logic, you should try it sometime.

really? thats interesting, because I used tank treads and Over Boost after losing the VOB, to get under the guns, and fire the 10 launch vertical missiles while using grenade launchers and gatlings guns on the underside of it, then floating around it and hitting the missile ports and the normals and big guns, and ended getting S rank without needing the infinite energy reg at all.

I must've done it wrong.

blades are actually terrible for this mission on hard mode. The missiles can level someone who doesn't know what they're doing easily. The easiest way is simply two grenade launchers with a long lock range. 1.15 regs and flares, just keep moving as fast as you can in one direction and keep doing drive bys popping each missile pod with a grenade. Then drop the main cannons, very very very simple
