Coop game disconnects when quicksaving/quickloading

I have been trying to play coop with my brother on our home LAN. We can connect, play, and use the mic's just fine, but when I try to quicksave, it will often disconnect one of us from the game. Sometimes, it manages to quicksave without disconnecting, but then if I try to quickload, it will again crash. This is very irritating when we've gotten most of the way through a mission and have to start all over because it disconnected and quickloads are deleted once a coop session closes.

I also have this same problem and have not found a fix for it yet
