Hello, Vitirr!

I was an unofficial member of Ungoliant's Portals staff, actually. He got busy with other things, and all of our maps were lost when the domain registry expired midway through 2003 and Ungo wasn't able to do anything about it because he was in the hospital at the time. Once he was back home and able to get the domain back, he was able to get the main pages running again though he never did much after that. Last time I talked to him about a year ago he said he might be interested in rebuiliding Portals all the way back up if and when there were a Heroes 5. Well, now we know there will be, so he may come back online.

That would be great. MMPortals was an incredible good site and Ungoliant was one of the most relevants persons of the HOMM community for the site and his good maps.

I don't think Rune was ever interested in Heroes, so I'm not sure if he'll show up here. He still posts on RyverWild's EZ board every now and then even though that place has been abandoned for quite some time, otherwise I have no idea what he's been up to. As for Chole, I don't remember seeing her since 2001, we can only hope that when word of Heroes 5 gets around she and a lot of the others we lost will find their way over here.

I'm sure Cattleman will be along to greet you soon.

I MY GOSH......the big gold dragon. It's been sooooooooooooooooooo long and good to see you. A lot of the old timers are starting to come out of the woodworks. I'll try to explain. On the PoP forum we have a chat thread (kinda like this one, but it's stickied. It's where we have all of our off topic conversation. And I tend to joke around a lot, so new members always misinterpreted my posts (they took me seriously when I wasn't trying to be). So this mod (who I know really well) joked about making a new rule. I decided to add it to my sig, just so everyone would know I joke around a lot.

I liked Korea very much with their enthusiasm and good play. For a minor country, in football, Korea did superbly in last WC. Very few expected Korea to come as far as they did.

That's not true. Heroine_LL....give us an idea what smilies you're wanting and I'll pass it on to Kingo. I doubt that he has the mod-functions to add emoticons, but he should know who can do it. That's not a very big request and as long as they're not offensive or anything...I don't see a problem with it.

Missed U2 but I saw Bono sing -St.Pepper with Paul McCartney who also sang with George Michael -Drive my Car. And Madonna was totally amazing; somehow she did it again.

The best thing imo was the special vibe and high energy of the concerts. The realisation kicks in that poverty can be solved in no time as long as we are willing, so what now?

Well, no actually. I didn't know that you were a mod. As for my comment about adding the emoticons...that was based on the fact that I've helped run message boards before and I know that it's a very simple thing to add those. I didn't know that Ubisoft was reluctant to do so though. Seems a bit odd if you ask me. (not that I really use them anyway) *grin*

And as for it being easy: I've heard many, many complaints about the forum software. Apparantly it's not straightforward at all.
