View Full Version : Brand new Spitfire MkVIII Skins - come have a look!

12-03-2004, 11:17 AM
It's finally time to reveal a brand new template to compete with all my Luftwaffe stuff. I found out that the Spitfire Mk VIII was a delight to work with and the mapping was just fine (contrary to the Mk IX and V), so I started working a couple of weeks ago.

Here's my first two skins, they're both for the european theater but I'll be making some SEAC spits soon.

First there's an aircraft from 145 Polish Squadron:

Then there's the fictious schemes applied to the Spitfires used for the making of the "Piece of Cake" mini series that I couldn't resist.

I hope You'll like them! There's more coming soon...

Cpt_Farrel. Great skins!!!! I was wondering if you would b e willing to share the PSP file with me? My uncle flew MkVIIIs with 145 squadron and 417 squadron througout the invasion of Sicily and Italy. I would like ot have his planes for my personal set.If you would be willing to share the PSP I could do them and wouldn't release any of your work to the public.

let me know.

It's not a PSP it's photoshop format, PSD. You could send me references for the aircraft he flew and I could do the skins for You. Anyway, it's better if You contact me by e-mail at cptfarrel@cptfarrels.com
