Doesn't really matter... a couple of new maps won't save Vegas.

liber is right, this game is fun but the bugs are outrageous guys think about not playin in servers with lag or without crashing in servers where u can lock teams and run pb without a crash! thats the ideal world of scrimmin in R6V wise up , liber u have my support! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I agree with LiberNull too,
I paid $50 for the game and another $50 to put it on a system as a server. Our clan put up with Vegas for almost a month before getting fed up with the bugs and missing features that we came to expect from R6 and any multiplayer game for that matter. I am glad SOD Sniper is making maps for Ravenshield again...
UBI needs to tell us what the plan is so we can move on or keep up hope. Show me your treasures Gypsy.

That's it in a nutshell..
UBI needs to come clean so those of us who want to can move on..
Either tell us that this is all their is... Or tell us that there will be more changes (for the better) and patches (for the better)...
Based on information to date, it's pretty much a done deal that the SEMI SADS is the best we're going to get.
But what about the rest of things??
KI.Maximus

at this point im fine with semi sads, i think the most important thing to add/fix at this point is Server admin functionality (Lock, change maps, etc..)
I mean these are basic things that every MP game should have, yet we sit here with out those capabilities

They're going to charge us for unlocking some areas that are already in the game?? I thought they were going to make NEW maps. WOW.

I wouldn't put it past them to spend 5 minutes adding more objectives to existing maps and charging us for those...since they won't release the map editor for us to do it ourselves...
Is there anyone from UBI that would actually like to explain why they didn't simply add more than one objective to each map and allow more singleplayer maps to be played multiplayer? I didn't think so...

Those weren't new maps...
The first one was two maps stuck together and the last ones were of the Vegas Strip from the SP Campaign.

The game reminds me of Global ops a few years back, without the purchase system...

LOL @ ubisoft trying to charge for a half assed map pack that's already in the SP game. Congrats Ubisoft you just beat EA to the lame bar. I won't be purchasing any more Ubisoft games due to the fact that they continue to take a steaming **** on the same people who bought the product.

it looks more like MP coop story. I haven't played it yet, but those levels should already be available. Those maps were definitely not adver, by the rets turning red when on the tangos (easy mode).

Hmmm... New maps without fixing the crashes... PERFECT!
Its like having a car that breaks down alot, and putting new tires on it.

This is true. I would also like to remind all those that are dissatisfied with UBI's treatment towards us and they're typical deafening silence to not give UBI another dime. Let's not be hypocrites.

Sry but the only way I'm buying this for PC is if it comes with the editor.

on the german website is already an official info about the expansion pack for the xbox360.
and it says there are only 5 new MP maps and 2 of them are only revised versions of border town and killhouse.
http://rainbowsixgame.de.ubi.com
would be interesting if the price is still the same ;-)

the german site (official UBI's site) is talking about 5 maps ONLY and 2 new game modes (v.i.p and conquest). no perdisio, no shipyard, no nada.
also there are no news about the PC. it's 360, ppl.
lets not get excited and get facts and wishfull thinking mixed!!!

Well Huddex I pretty much have stopped playing Vegas since 1.40 was unleashed upon us. I still think Vegas is a semi-fun/semi-great game, but in it's current state competitive play is simply out of the question. So what I really meant by my comment, is that we don't we need any new maps right now, what we need is a patch to fix this game so it will be awsome, and so we actually can start to play some great and fun cw's.

right...no wonder game companies don't feel obliged to make quality games anymore. it seems people will find it fun no matter if it's buggy as hell. if this attitude were to disappear tomorrow and companies took note, games will be 50x more polished. if you're satisfied with garbage, companies are liable to give you garbage.

Good way to put it. In some ways the consumer has been its own worst enemy for quite awhile. I haven't seen a game that didn't need a pretty serious patch out the door in a long time. I also continue to drive my car and accept the price of gas when the oil companies are posting record profits.
I'm not preaching - I'm just as guilty as anyone - no single raindrop believes it's responsible for the flood, right? We've created a society with a 'need it now, can't wait or do without' philosophy that only benefits...well you get the idea.
However, in this case, I think I'll start passing on Ubi games. They, like EA, seem to be focused purely on $$ instead of their core business - software.
