Games in general usually go Gold about 2-4 weeks before launch to allow for mass production of the discs and shipping to retailers' warehouses. I'm sure we'll announce it when it happens.

Sorry for the n00b question, what does GOLD mean? is it when the game is most popular?

When a game goes gold it means it's done (in terms of development - no more changes, bugs have been fixed, etc). http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It's back in the old days when a game was finished it'd get burnt onto a gold coloured disc which would act as the master disc which all subsequent copies would be copied from. These days we just send versions over the network and such discs aren't actually used http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
