How to take out that helicopter!!

Hello people!!

In training I can't seem to get past the helicopter when i get to the top of the boat! its driving me nuts.. Any help???

Hi kat and welcome to the forums.

I remember having some trouble with this also.

My technique eventually (and luck played a part with judgement - it took a few attempts) was to climb up the ladder ensuring that i was crouched or prone as soon as I was up so as not to be shot from behind. I then used the P90 to cane up the gunner in the helicopter (you don't have to bring the whole thing down, just the gunner) - when the crosshair turns red on him you know you are making progress.

failing that and off the top of my head (I'm sure others will post links to other threads which will help) you could try:

1) Running jump off the boat, swim to land, find humvee, use rocket launcher

or

2) somehow get to mounted gun on first deck (you've already got past this bit) - again maybe by jumping..not sure if you can back track the way you came. If you can back track then thats a better option than the jump as the heli will knacker you up when yr in the water.

You're so right! I saw Boat and Helicopter and went into auto mode.
The training chopper is also covered, but buried a little deeper.

The best tactic is: do not climb the ladder to the top of the carrier. Re-trace your steps back to the exit of the ship, go around the balcony area and draw the chopper to you, run back in the door and use its cover. Pop in and out to down the chopper. Some make their way to the stern machine gun, but the door works for me. There's no need to go to the top deck, unless you just want to kill everyone. Once its downed, go to the port side and jump ship. Get the boat from the beach.

You don't have to take the chopper out from the flight deck. You have enough to worry about up there. Retrace your steps round the curved walkway and get the gunner from there. When you have done that dive in the water and shoot out the inflatable supports. That way you avoid the mess on the flight deck altogether.
