I'm about to re-install Windows XP on my computer. I am afraid that I'll lose my ranks and A.C.E.S. achievements.

Is there anyway to save the ranks and A.C.E.S. achievements somewhere, and restore them when I have re-installed Windows XP?

Thank you very much!!

My profile reset for the third time this morning, I deal with it.

save your files on a thumb drive.

Save your entire R6Vegas2 folder to another drive, CD, etc.
C:\Documents and Settings\Default\My Documents\My Games\Ubisoft\R6Vegas2

Your profile contains your key, and the other files have the rest of the saved info you need!

Wait wait wait, are you "re-installing" Windows XP, or are you "reformatting" your drive with Windows XP?

I'm asking because I'm not sure if you're installing WinXP from Windows itself, or from POST. If you're installing from POST (aka reformatting) then yes, you will have to back up your saved games.

If, however, you're reinstalling WinXP within the Windows interface (i.e. on your Desktop or My Computer) then you don't have to back up your saved files. But me personally, reinstalling WinXP through Windows is crap.

I assumed that caseyresey was doing a reformat, but you are right Neil, he wouldn't have to back up his files if he is just reinstalling.

I have never had very good luck with a Windows reinstall and would suggest backing up your hard drive first with a good program like Acronis True Image or similar first!!

It is still a good idea to save your R6Vegas 2 folder just in case you any of those files ever get corrupted!
