Despite the lame sci-fi spin, I will definitely be renting this a.s.a.p. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

EDIT: LAME! Blockbuster doesn't start renting it until the 16th. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Based off the achievements I'd say it's true, Pancakes.

The game looks good. Though looks really aren't everything. Hopefully the game got a lot of polish after its earlier showings. I'll probably check it out at some point, but I'm not really rushing. I figure I'll check the reviews, and try to just borrow it from someone.

Hopefully it'll be good, but it doesn't seem like it'll hold much replay value.

Ill be waiting at the gamestore at midnight for Assassins Creed if they have a midnight release, I really like the premise of the game, and itll hold me off till Mass Effect comes out.

Well I'd like to wish you good luck with the studying Rhoulette... and not sure if this is a good time to mention it... but a certain Sci Fi RPG, that I know your looking forward to, is out on the 20th, and from what several of my friends that have already played it... have been saying it's gona live up to the hype. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I thought that was the worst kept secret. Dont look for the answer because you can find it easy. I love the idea myself. I'm eager to see how it goes across the whole trilogy of assassins creed games.

Ah, I do not miss graduate school one bit. The only good thing about it was that I was so busy that the three years went by so fast. My gaming life did suffer greatly though. But it was worth it in the end. Thanksgiving and then Christmas break will be here before you know it.

Glad to see 1up has some balls. (http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3164320)

Also, stores across the country are breaking the street date on Mass Effect. If I had the money I'd be playing it right now.

Rhou hates us. If not she would spend more time with us.

Grad school is just an excuse...

Team Xbox gave it a lower score too.

Assassin's Creed 7.9/10 (http://reviews.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/1428/Assassins-Creed/p1/)

Their overview on page 4 is very interesting. They pointed out many of the games issues that never got corrected.

Assassins Grad school is what poor Rhou needs, I'll start that today, your first paper must be on how cool this game is and how it relates to your innner assassin.

I think i understand , i'm going to wait till the PC ver come out in Feb/2008, its not that i like it, cause i don't http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif , yet i'll have alot of free time for my study and that is good...

However i still need to finish OverLord ASAP cause this game eats alot of my time right now... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And to think I had it hard by only skipping my morning classes. Stick in there, Rhoulette.

I'm pretty sure that "gamer" achievements for Grad school are far more important and valuable than that of GH3 and Assassin's Creed. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

The "sci-fi spin", as you've called it, is not a spin as much as an integral (and awesome) part of the storyline. Granted, I've known about that part of the storyline for ages, but I have hard time understanding why people have gotten bent out of shape about the game not taking place entirely in historical context. I personally think this makes it a lot more interesting.

Regarding the review scores, the fact that they're so wildly distributed is suspicious to me. The big game review sites usually post scores that match up more closely, so whenever there is this kind of disparity I assume that the game has to at least be somewhat unusual.

The only way to see is to play it, though. Unfortunately, I have a paper due next week so there's no way I will get much playing done before Thanksgiving. *sigh*

And yes MusicDan, Mass Effect will be around to complicate my life even further. Ah well. I probably shouldn't complain about there being too many good games.

The review scores actually do line up fairly close. Most all of them are right around the 70-80% range. I have only seen two reviews out of 30 hit 90%. Not much disparity there. So it seems the game is not really perfect. From what I'm reading, it looks like the climbing and building scaling techniques are being raved about, and the framerate issues and sometimes stand-still storyline andvancement are hurting this one. It's like the games' story just doesn't pull you in to keep you patient enough to wait in certain instances. Meh, I will have mine soon, so, time will tell for me.
