Neko has already said elsewhere that it is too early to release this information but that it will be released closer to launch.

Ubi has over the past few years pretty much given PC gamers the finger with unpolished ports and such, and I really hope that won't be the case with this game. I suppose it's not an internal Ubi project so my worries may be completely unfounded, but still.

Thing to remember here is that the PC version is being developed in parallel with the console versions, rather than being ported afterwards. That means the game is being developed with the PC in mind as much as the consoles, the whole way through.
In other words, I think it's unlikely you'll be disappointed. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It wouldn't really affect me, but I'd certainly hope there is a DX9 option for the suckers who are stuck in the past. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Truth be told, I really hate the idea of having to finance an OS upgrade in addition to an already bloody expensive hardware upgrade. Although with Vista it's not so much a matter of money as it is a matter of principle; my experience with Windows, from Windows 95 to XP has been anything but rosey, and having to continue supporting a brand you're anything but happy with simply because that's the only real choice for PC gamers at the moment... well, that sucks nard.

Well, my question mostly concerns what video card will be required, because I'm upgrading this Valentine's Day and I'm wondering if it would last long enough to be compatible. My current specs are:
2.8 GHz Pentium 4
512MB RAM
ATI Radeon 9200 128MB

True enough - from what I hear of the specs required for Vista gaming, it's an even more expensive proposition than PC gaming usually is, something many proponents of it's undoubted charms seem to forget. I've recently upgraded to an ATI X850 from a 9600XL, but ended up paying over the odds for it as with no PCI-E slot it was either an AGP card or a new MB, CPU and memory, plus PCI-E card - the 850 was definetly the cheaper option. At least I can play Total War: M II and Company of Heroes at a decent(ish) clip, but I'm afraid Haze will be beyond my specs.
@yusofrandom - I'm afraid my guess would be that your system doesn't stand a snowball in hell's chance of running Haze as is, or even with a new GC. If you're looking to upgrade, (IMO, I don't pretend to be a huge PC expert, but I know a thing or two), I would leave it as long as you can, (any reason for Valentine's Day?!), and buy the best you can afford, and look into the gaming specs for Vista/DX10 - last I read you would need something like 2Gb RAM as a reasonable minimum. Any PC experts please correct any misconceptions...
Alternatively, keep your current model for a while for general use and get a NG console for about half the price - m/k controls are over-rated IMO, although some of the exclusives on PC aren't.

I can justify the upgrade cost as my systems double as workstations. Of course, I don't technically need more power, but it does speed up the job turnaround so it's justifiable. Well, the hardware that is. I use Linux for my work related applications, so Vista is going to be pretty much a luxury upgrade. :/

Obviously I don't know how HAZE is going to push the hardware, but I think it's fairly safe to say that you will not be experiencing the game in anywhere near an optimal fashion with your current hardware. The good news is that the budget line of DX10 cards from nvidia are right around the corner (March, I believe) so the necessary video card upgrade may not have to be overly expensive.

It better be Dx9 or have a dx9 option (a bit like the source engine from hl2 where you could choose which dx to use). My current specs are:
2.93ghz
2GB ddr2
256mb 7600GT (575mhz gpu/1500mhz ddr3/12pix pipes)

I just hope it supports the 8800GTX, because no other Ubisoft published game seems to.

Well, I should be clear that this doesn't constitute official confirmation that it will (simply because nothing's 100% tied down until release) but I was playing the game on an 8800GTX today. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif So, there's a reasonable chance it will, yes.

Once again, without having the ability to be 100% certain, the game does run on DX9 hardware. Very well so, in fact. And I'd be very surprised if we didn't support it (Especially considering most of the development has occurred on DX9 cards). So, while I can't guarantee your hardware, I think you'll be okay. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Sigh, look, I'm sorry chap, but as I said before, I really can't talk specifics with the PC specs right now. I probably shouldn't have answered those previous questions either but they were just very easy responses.
So; I don't know. PC specs will be finalised closer to launch, and I really won't answer any more questions on the topic until the specs are nailed down. Sorry it had to be you that I drew the line at, but it had to be someone.
I have one simple bit of advice for everyone; if you've got some other game you want to play on your rig, and youre upgrading for it, then great. But don't upgrade speculatively for HAZE until the specs are published - all you'll be doing is inviting potential to be disappointed.

Is there any reason you need to know right now anyway? Surely the longer you leave it, the cheaper/better the upgrade will be?

My guess for PC system requirement for haze would be...
Minimum:
Intel pent 4 AMD athlon 2.4ghz or better
1gig ram
ATI x800 series
Recommanded
Intel pent 4 AMD athlon 2.8 ghz or better
2 gig ram
ATI x800 series
Also as for vista user i am a gamer i play alot of game on my pc i use it like a console really.
My system spec is..
AMD athlon 64 3500+ ( ~ 2.2ghz ) bought (130$ )
MB Asus A8X-MRsomething.. ( 85$ )
1 gig ram (75$ )
ATI x1600 XT 256 meg PCI-E (200$ )
All i need to change is either , Overcloak my processeur or add more ram in it i still have 3 ram slot left CPU aint a probleme right now with the new game coming out.
I can run all the recent and old game on this platform, the only game i had trouble runing was Spiderman 3 cause of low Ram, i could still play it but it was laggy. All in ALL Vista is a gaming platform and Old and Next gen games as it come with Dx10 , and its not that heavy on mem i was really surprised that i could run two Worlds all graphic maxed out with only 1gig ram on vista.. or DOOM3 / Quake 4 / Infernal / Rainbow six vegas / Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 .
I hope it will be Dx10 with an option for old plateform a support for dx9.
Hope that helps

I'm thinking you processor requirements are a little on the high side given that I used to have an AMD 64 3500+ as well and the only game- among a plethora of demanding games- that gave it a problem was Supreme Commander (which was as much due to the horrible optimization/memory leaks of that game as it was for anything else). I could run Company of Heroes on 1024x768 with Medium detail on my 2GB RAM, AMD 64 3500+, and GeForce 6800 Ultra (rough equivalent of the x850 from ATi). Meh, now with a mere $700 upgrade (that I needed anyway) to an Opteron 185 2.6GHz dual core (I haven't gotten a chance yet, but I'm going to overclock it- my friend has his 165 2.4GHz all the way up to 3GHz, and the 185 is a better platform for overclocking and starts higher, so...) and an eVGA 8800GTS 640MB Superclocked (the gfx card was about $380- it should be able to run Haze on near max, and by the time Haze comes out it will probably be about $250; this card is really all you need right now- it beats the ATi HD 2900XT and its power isn't wasted like the 8800GTX's, and you'll probably be able to get another down the road and pop it in SLi so that both of them would cost less than one 8800GTX) which can run Company of Heroes and everything else on my PC at absolute max.
