Every time i make a new career, as soon as the first patrol is finished it says i have died?!?!?!?!? Even if i didnt die! its really frustranting! i have no mods installed only patch 1.4b. Any thoughts?

Hi Sharpy_,

Sounds like your SH III has a morbid hiccup.

Just manually edit the two values in <span class="ev_code_white">Careers.cfg</span> and <span class="ev_code_white">Careers_0.cfg</span>.

Be in Base first and close SH III before editing these values.
Edit the lines:

<span class="ev_code_white">
Finished=true
WarOver=true</span>

..To read: =false.

Save and close the file(s), re-open SH III â€" load your Career, load 1st Patrol ‘At Base Before Patrol,’ start Patrol 2 and make a Save.

It should ‘instruct’ SH III that the war is not over, you’re not dead, and are darn-well going on some more patrols… http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

It should straighten out and be all right from there-forward …
