Sadness, Sadness, Sadness.

Someone else better express some regret at his passing. OR ELSE!

Arthur C. Clarke dies at age 90 (http://www.wired.com/culture/art/news/2008/03/clarke_elegy)

Not the author of 2001: A Space Odyssey!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

But seriously, I'd never heard of him until this thread. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

wow what a loss, but at least he lived a whole long active life.

I was always impressed by his writings.

It's been ages since I've read any of his works. I heard about this late Tuesday night, and had to get online and order Childhood's End. It's kind of a shame; I've been rediscovering authors I haven't read since I was a kid only after they die. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

One of the (probably THE) greatest books/films of all time.

And a little off topic, but a guy at my school killed himself (worst way to check out) last weekend.

RIP and best wishes to everyone around them.
