Last night I visited the hood(or was it city?) for the first time and met many of you. It was a great experience. Even on a dial-up, the lag was not bad. Boatingirl asked me to post my KI # so people can add it to buddy lists. It is 486989. It also says member of the Tsukima Neighborhood. What does that mean? I have some questions about it. I saw a list of buddies on the left. How do people get on that list? I was in the Neighbors list. Sometimes the KI display would disappear and when I hit F2, it would come back with a previous conversation. Does that happen to everyone? I noticed that in the conversation, sometimes people's actions would appear, like people waving. If I waved, it wouldn't show. How do actions appear? I guess that's enough questions for now. Thanks for your patience and the cool experience.
BG, looking forward to your pictures!

Hi Urukrak, Glad to hear you made it to UU!
Member of Tsukinami Neighbourhood means that your atavar's default 'hood is tha one. When you create an atavar it get's assigned to a default neighbourhood. Yours must have been renamed by one of your neighbours. You can change and become a member of another neighbourhood. For that you have to delete your current neighbourhood book, then link to the Relto of one of the members of the hood you want to join and use his/her neighbourhoodbook.
For a good explenation of the KI go to GoG KI guide (http://www.greetersguild.com/faqs-ki2.shtml)
Hear you can read also about the gestures. This explaince it all better then I can. If you also link to the GoG library then you can download a KI guide PDF file.
You can get your KI and the chat stay longer in screen. Go to full KI screen, click on the gearsymbol and adjust the nessecary slider.
Hope to see you In UU.

Thanks, Hanna. Sorry for all the questions. Still learning....
I don't know about the neighborhoods. Would Tsukinami be my default?

Urikrak, it was fun to see you in the city! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
I think when you use the CTRL keys for actions, they don't display in the chat, but if you use the action commands, such as /dance or /wave you will see it displayed in the chat, such as "urikrak waves".
Yes, if it says that Tsukinami is your hood, you got that one as your default when you linked in for the first time.
Of course, we would really like for you to join our hood, the Institution (I think you would fit well http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif) and I think most of the people you already know belong to that hood, being Boatingirl, Footprint, JadesDream, Jeff433, HannaGertie, Grizz, Kestryll, TLG and myself.
Of course it's up to you. You might already have buddies with whom you prefer to share a hood. A lot of people from our hood have not been in UU lately, but if you run into one of us, just ask us and we will make you a member of our hood.
You can also hop from one hood to another to visit other people. You will see the list of hoods in public links in the Nexus and you can link to them using the Nexus.

Thanks, Louly. Being "institutionalized" sounds like fun http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif Maybe the next time I'm on we can do that. You mentioned visiting people in other hoods. I don't quite understand. I could see you and talk to you, without being in your neighborhood. Or did you just mean going to another location? On the buddy lists, do you just add people when you want, or ask permission first?
Thanks again, Louly. See you soon.

Although I'm not Louly I'll answer your questions, hope you don't mind http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Visiting people in other hoods is indeed just like going to other places. with one slight difference: There are public and private hoods. Public hoods are free accesable and are listed in the neighbourhoodslist in the nexusdispaly. Private 'hoods are only accesable for members and for people who got a special invitation from a member. If you get an invitation for a private 'hood or for a persons private age (except relto) the nexus will show a link in the privatelinks section.
For adding Buddies, it's polite to ask first but I think most of us have added people they know from the forums without really asking about it.

Hanna, of course I don't mind your answers. You've been quite helpful. The GoG website is great. I guess I will have to experiment with the public and private hoods to understand how they work. I'll add you to my buddies when I see you there.

Urikrak, to try the 'hood jumping' as some have called it, when you link to the nexus, click on the 'public links'. You will see the list of neighborhoods. If you click on the heading of population, it will sort them by population. Some of the hoods that usually have people in them are Institution, Uru Obsession, Safety First 243 and Amber Horizons.
I look forward to seeing you online.

Thanks, Chuckles. I have another question. In the game, the city map showed the Guild as inaccessible. Is it accessible in UU?

I'm afraid that is a place we may never see, except for parts of the outside. I'm not sure, but I don't think it was ever completed.
