There are 2 issues I've come across that I'd like to see addressed as downloadable content.
1) At the end of a skirmish, I would like a recap of how many kills I got, compared to my teamates, just as was done in RTH30 multiplayer.
2) Occasionally a machine gunner will stand up from behind his cover and freeze. This is an annoying glitch.
It would be great if #1 could be made available as downloadable content, as when I play with my friend we often shoot at the same enemy at the same time, and it is unclear who actually hit him. This system was implemented in RTH30, and I have no idea why it is not available for skirmish. It seems as if it would be an easy feature to implement.

I agree. Some simple stats would be great. Nothing crazy like all of halo2's stats, but the providing number of kills for you and your teammates would be a great place to start. As it is, I end up not knowing if I, my co-op partner, or one of our squad took down an enemy.
And the machine gunner glitch annoys me as well- sometimes i'll be shooting what appears to be an invulnerable machine gunner standing up from behind his cover, only to approach and be shot by a crouching machine gunner.

1. Commanding tanks in Skirmish. Which also means you can command German tanks as well http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.
2. Medic scenes! People are dying and you get to see the team and a medic around the wounded man. And he dies.... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif... wouldn't that be nice for a game that emphazis brotherhood?
3. One weapon please. I would like to have one weapon and if we need a second it should only be a weapon like a pistol or a bazooka/panzerfaust. Because you have 2 weapons in the game you don't have a special band with your weapon like soldiers have.

Everything needs to be changed . I don't think a health bar in a first person shooter is to cool. I think if you hit them in the chest yes a health bar should appear. But right in the head lame. I want to be fare but this game sucks. Not worth the $50.00 price tag.

So you don't think when you pop someone in the back of the head and they continue moving and a health bar appears thats lame. The skirmish mode however is a little more fun.

if you don't like it, then sell it, trade it, trash it, whatever so we don't have to listen to you whine all day...

I solute you then . Do me one favor be safe . I was in Iraq for a year and I hated it . You can't trust any one out there . It's sad you would think that they would wan't help but they don't we should withdraw our troops . The marines want me to go back . But I can't I served my time and my uncle is a brig general and he is saying no. Because I was injured in Iraq. I got shot in the shoulder . I have nightmares on the people I had to kill. PLease be careful

Health bar doesnt bother me. I almost never refer to the situational awareness view so I never see it.
And one weapon would be too restrictive (I've got a sniper rifle... so much for doing assault)
But still I find myself and my teammate yelling "Got him!" at the same time. Sure, it wouldn't be "realistic" to have an indicator of who got the kill, but then again i can't climb over waist-high fences either.
And if I knew who got the kill, I wouldnt have to walk over to the poor nazi and pull some CSI forensic b.s. "he fell over in this direction and I was aiming from this side while....so I think it was my kill"
bottom line: I want to know who kills who.

Good discussion, guys, nick I'm sorry about your experience in Iraq and I'm glad you were ok, and raging... I hope that you'll be ok, too.
I started this thread hoping that some good ideas would be generated regarding how the game might be improved in a practical and easily implementable manner (ie through content download). Ideally, the game developers might look at this thread and take some of the suggestions if they are, in fact, planning on releasing a patch via content download.
I just really want a darn kill summary at the end of a skirmish mission.

A few suggestions if I may:
1. Consider allowing players in MP and skirmish the ability to take over an MG nest or an MG on top of a burned out tank or half-track. To keep it fair, only allow short bursts on the MG, make player have to reload the MG (which should take several seconds), and maybe have MG jam if used too long or often.
2. Sniper rifles should be available on some maps in EIB. They were in Hill 30, why not now?
3. When playing MP and you are alone and call for reinforcements, then get killed, the reinforcements do not proceed to where you were. That should be corrected. The way it plays now, they stay at the respawn point, which is not a good thing.
4. You should be allowed to scavange for grenades, just like you can scavange for shoulder weapons.
5. In skirmish and MP, it would be nice to have a few maps where you control one squad and one tank. The other team should get the same, or be equipped with bazookas/panzerfausts to even things out.
6. Consider allowing the placement of mines on a some maps. Just a few, to keep things interesting. They should be visible to the team that planted them. If a grenade goes off near them, they should detonate.
7. Have a command to have your team hide and stay hidden until you give the command to fire. It would make ambushes much more effective and keep more suspense in MP.
8. Grenades should be designed so you can throw them on a short fuse (cook off), to avoid the AI from tossing them back all the time.
All in all, I think it is a very good game which, with some tweaking, could be a great game.
(In keeping with the topic, I have limited my thoughts to "suggestions for improvement" and avoided political commentary, which would be better served in a different forum)

I agree; the ability to pick up grenades from dead soldiers and throw them on a short fuse would seem to be 2 simple and practical improvements.
A more controvertial change would be the ability of the player to jump into the body of one of his squadmates in skirmish if he is killed. This is obviously more unrealistic in the sense that you can't really jump from body to body, however in reality the battle carries on and it would be nice to finish out the mission until the last man in your squad is dead.
I wish I had a kill summary at the end of skirmish for pete's sake.

Does anyone know if they will ever add more skirmish levels to EIB?

There are few things I would suggest for the next version of BIA.
1. Allow for Saving the game when you want to save. It's quite annoying that one has to play through the entire episode.
At least allow for the ability to save the game at a check point rather than having start all the way back at the beginning just because I can't finish it & have to call it a night.
2. Weapons - The player should have the ability to outfit himself and his men accordingly as to weapon types. God knows I could have used a Snipe Rifle on more than a few occassions.
3. A squad consists of more than 4 to 5 men. If the game is going to be realistic, make it realistic, at the least a 8 man squad.
4. As someone already stated - Allow to pick up enemy's items than just weapons, I could use " Potato Mashers " when I run out of " Frags ".
5. A HEAD SHOT is a KILL, pure and simple. If I am aiming for the head and hit it, your dead regardless of the weapon, A SNIPER RIFLE is the exception to this rule - ONE SHOT, ONE KILL.
Any hits on the rest of the body, the health bar drops accordingly.
6. Jumping - If I can't jump over anything larger than a crate or small rock, what's the point of this function. I should be able to jump over at the most a wall that has chunk blown out of it.
Also, Besides Standing and Kneeling firing positions, there's also the PRONE Position or for the layman type - Lying Down Position.
7. Some buildings should have access to them through open doors. There's more to figthing in a town environment than fighting and shooting at ground level.
8. Tossing Gernades - at least give me something to at least judge the distance how far it can be thrown.
9. Movement - I shuld be able to move as fast as the other members of the squad. It feels like I'm moving just fast enough to outrun grand ma using a walker.
10. Binoculars would be a nice touch to look down range and around at targets.
11. Fire Support - Either short range mortar crews or 105 MM Howizters. The number of times this could be used would be very limited per each episode or at different stages.
12. Air Support - Same as Fire Support.
13. HMG ( Heavy Machine Gun ) Team. A squad consisted of one of these two men teams.
14. One squad member is a medic to heal shot up squad members, Medic's only weapon would be a Colt 45 Auto.
15. Capture Enemy's - If you capture an enemy, certain intelligence info will be revealed.

it's about authenticity... not realism, but authenticity is a part of realism. And for tossing grenades.. after you play a while you'll notice it gets easier. It's like training. Paratroopers had training to judge distances and you need to train while playing.

The authenticity of the game is based on the era of the environment and surroundings.
The realism is based on the how you and your men interact with the environment.
If the game was merely just you and you alone, that's one thing, but it's not.
The game is about you and your men using weapon's and combat tactic's to use and manuver with the enviroment surrounding to complete an objective.
Now, given that I've played the game and finished it, there are many elements within the games envorinment that I could of used to gain an advantage to overwhelme the enemy's positions.
But that was not the case since the programers and writers clearly wanted the AI in the game to have the better advantage which made your options basically confined to fighting at ground level.

has anyone read on gameinformer, their reveiwer said he loves the authenticity, and doesnt want want it to change, but then said he wishes th targeting reticule locked on, which one does he want authenticity or annoying Medal of Honor "super human moron" abilities i dont know if this is the right forom for this complaint
