I was lucky to make it out of Zurich yesterday. Worst travel day for me ever. People turn into such *******s (especially Swiss and Germans it seems, and I say that having many friends from both countries) when plans are changed. Actually, to be fair, the staff I dealt with from Lufthansa and Turkish airlines were wonderful considering. Many of the other customers were unbearable. People could have cared less about the two young children I had in tow. It made me happy to be back amongst the Arabs. They have their faults, but they are really wonderful with children.
On a side note, who knew there were so many hotties in Turkey. Either the Istanbul airport and Turkish airlines only hires the best looking young women available or Turkey's a hidden gem.

BTW, there are a lot of gorgeous Turkish women and I think this has a lot to do with geographical location resulting in a diverse gene pool.
Mix'em up, make'em better. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I'll be in Turkey next month. I was going to post back with pics of archeological sites, architecture and museums that Rome: total war fans might appreciate, but Turkish hotties it is then. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Turkish people are not Arabs http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Also, Istanbul is awesome. I might visit it again in october.
Low flyer, if you visit Istanbul, I might appreciate pictures of Ortaköy mosque. Wanted to visit that when I was there but never did http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif I love how it looks as if it floats on water.
Oh and, on another note, volcanic dust got to my country today too, and I'm hoping for a spectacular sunset to photo. When Krakatoa exploded in the 1880's there were spectacular sunsets for the following year from the dust that spread all over the world.

I know that Roxunreal. I live in Kuwait. I meant it was good to be back in Kuwait. I had never been on Turkish soil before yesterday; It may have to be my December vacation.
Looking forward to it lowflyer, and I'm a Roman history nerd too so just throw in a Turkish hottie every few slides.

The wife's mum and dad were of to the Scilly Isles yesterday, flying from Bristol. The intervention of Norse gods scuppered that. She's always said that wild horses couldn't get her on a helicopter. Imagine her horror when the tour company arranged for them to be bussed to Penzance, thence to board one of these.

Although his avatar is different I still associate Huggy with his old one. When I read the title I got an image of him sitting in his x-fighter, bottom lip out, arms folded, waiting for take off clearance while the battle above the cloud continued without him. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I was supposed to see Azam Ali, the most beautiful voice in the world, in Ljubljana but it's canceled because of this volcanic crap. That's probably the closest she'll ever get to where I live.
I am now seriously considering sinking Island. I don't know how, but I have enough rage in me right now to succeed either way

Why do they need three warships to deliver train tickets for the 'chunnel'?
Besides that, doesn't England have any passenger ships, you know,.... made for passengers?
Strange plan, unless of course I am missing something.

If you look at who the navy are repatriating they are generally troops rotating from theatre, this might be being sold as a civillian repatriation but it seems to me the primary mission is getting soldiers home.
