What time will Xbox live update to have the new demo available? I read elsewhere that it's at 4 AM central USA time (-6:00 GMT) I was wondering if anyone can confirm this, because I'm getting up that early.

A lot of the time, updates happen after 12:00pm GMT, so i'm going to check around that time. I have known some demos to go live at 8am GMT though.....so its a real lottery as to when the update takes place.

Yep, perfect dark came out before 5:30GMT I woke up and played it! I think it will be a gamble but someone posted a source saying it would come out right at midnight.

Or you could re-title this thread by editing it.

And, also, it doesn't immediately go up at midnight. It takes a little while to upload, just as it does to download (although, I wish they'd upload it and then officially release and allow downloads AT midnight).

O my bad as well Perfect Dark came out at before 5:30PST I heard that xboxlive updates by PST... last night but I waited up for Perfect Dark is wasn't out by 12:30 so I called it a night and got up around 5:30 I'm almost ready to pull a all nighters for this one.

The only problem with messaging, though...is if people are on their 360s, they'll be wanting to play games.

And will the 360 desktop actually update when it's on and show that the demo is up? I've never thought about that before.

I think so because it is streaming the dashboard if not it kicks you off for bigger updates. I don't know it might not show up I guess I will keep posting.

every time something new hits xbox live marketplace it is always around 6 or 7 pm on the release day. Which for me is in 5 hours from now . I remember reading somewhere that the new content to the marketplace goes up 2am pacific time in the US - don't quote me on that though ;-). I just hope the australian marketplace is updated at the same time as the US one. fingers crossed

Guys something you should realize as well, the marketplace doesn't update at the exact same time for everyone. It will update around 5 am est time but most of the time it isn't exactly then. So if you see some people saying they have it and you don't see it yet that would be why.

Open your eyes you have to kill people, the demo gives you route a or route b.... A is a free kill you can't move on with out killing him. B you are right behind a guy not looking at you if you wait about 10 seconds we will walk very slowly way from you.... I will reason try me. This demo is going to prove so many darksider points you guy have to admit it. I know you like the game thats fine but lots of good points like the B&W is dumb. I have played the demo it makes it harder to tell where the dark areas are therefore harder to move from one dark spot to another. The game is an action game more than I thought it was....

You just must not be trying if you think it's more action. I have been playing it exactly like I would play Chaos Theory and it works. Chaos theory put you into situations where you had to take guys out as well. It's a demo showing off gameplay features. Replay it again and instead of going at it thinking negative thoughts try actually playing it like you would chaos theory. Just incorporate M&E. Or don't. Up to you.

I was able to beat the entire demo using only my hands. Aside from shooting a few lights and having to M&E the first guys.
Open your eyes you have to kill people, the demo gives you route a or route b.... A is a free kill you can't move on with out killing him. B you are right behind a guy not looking at you if you wait about 10 seconds we will walk very slowly way from you.... I will reason try me. I also thought the controls and the overall handling of fisher wasn't smooth. I found my self saying "thats not what I meant to do, or where I meant to go" alot.

After replay a few times I got through the demo without kill anyone, (Cept the two guys you have to Mark and execute at the beginning. Also made it so DETECTED never showed up but doesn't really mean they didn't know I was there.

-Grabbed the first guy and threw him into some bushes.

-Moved up after killing the two and grabbed the next guy and threw him into bushes (I couldn't get him to go away with he Sticky Cam, the guards need to be distracted long with those things!)

-Moved from cover to cover to the front of the facility then moved to the left and into the hole there.

-Moved up to the building then went right first and peeked under the door (Doing this makes it so the guy doesn't show up at the window.)

-Went back to the window. Climbed on the pipe inside and went to the center of the room, waited for the EMP test then dropped down and ran to the hole closest to the elevator.

-Threw a cam under the window, waited for the person inside to come out used EMP as I ran in.

-Climbed up the first pipe after the scientist scene, made my way above the room with three guys. Threw another cam into one of the pipe tunnels distracted then EMPed as I ran to the hallway.

-Moved to cover while lone guy was walking up and down. Grabbed him, took him up stairs and threw him into a dark corner.

-EMP the last room with three guys and ran for the ending. tada! This entire experience did prove though that you CAN'T play this game old style.
