They're counting on people falling for the overhype and review scores they got for this thing and playing without a demo. Don't think they want one, if people saw what it was like in a demo they'd be very less likely to buy it.

All a matter of opinion. Just because you hate it, yet you still sadly wander about these forums convincing others likewise, doesn't mean that everybody else hates it.

There was media coverage of all ports of this game.

I'm not the only one of the opinion that it's that bad, there's plenty of people who feel the same way. They created their own frankenstein monster with their overhype, created an expectation of something so great and what we got was an console arcade shooter with screwed aiming and hit detection to make it seem "real". Good for you that you enjoy it, those enjoying it seem to be in the minority.

well indeed moezilla, the majority doesn't seem to be content with BIA. And it got hyped by media, look at the high reviews for this game (it's a laugh) and see how many copys are for sale on ebay and other places. Secondly, look at this forum and the amount of unhappy owners of this game, Gearbox will not provide anyone with a demo since that would only decrease the number of sales. It's out for nearly two months now and still no DEMO, so just buy your allmost for free copy from ebay.

Actually it's 83% as 89 people voted they liked the game and 18 they didn't. Speaks pretty loudly when such a greatly reviewed game only has about 107 people finding the time to vote whether or not they like it. About the same number of people who have tried MP. lol

I voted yes to the question but the poll is innacurate. My ratio to like/dislike is actually 51/49. If there was a demo out before I bought the game, I probably wouldn't have in its current state. To me, it's not the game I saw in the videos.

Bingo! You hit the nail right on the head, man! Ubisoft doesn't want a demo for the reasons you stated.

Which is why I'll be very shocked if they ever put out a demo. If they do I'd like to download it and play it and see if it is truly a demo of the real gameplay in this game. If they had released a demo before releasing the game, I'm sure there would be a lot less people that would have bought the game as it is now.
