Wanted (2 to 12 players):
One player is « Wanted ». Only he can score. Kill him to become the « Wanted ».

Shootout (2 to 12 players):
Kill the other players to increase your bounty. Highest bounty wins the game. As a wise hunter you should “select and choose” the most valuable target. Every time I kill another player, I am rewarded of his bounty value. At the same time, my own bounty value is raising (Bounty Hunter system available for all the Modes).

Posse (2 to 12 players):
Kill enemies to score points for your team. Team with the highest score wins. Coordinate your moves with the rest of your team to win this battle.

Wild West legends (2 to 12 players):
Objective-based game mode; Recreating wild west famous events such as the shootout at OK Corral, the capture of Billy the Kid or the robbery of the Dalton Brothers in Coffeyville. Each scenario is based on a story divided into objectives, which one team struggles to complete, while the other team tries to prevent it and survive a given time limit.

Manhunt (2 to 12 players):
One player is « Wanted ». His team must protect him to score. Whether you attack or defend, the key character in the “Wanted” player. There are two teams and one Wanted – the top player in one of the teams. If he survives for 60 seconds, its team scores. When he’s killed, a new Wanted in the opposing team is assigned.

Rifleman
Classic Rifle, 2 x Classic Gun
Versatile. Works pretty well in almost all situations.

Light version of Sniper, with much faster but less powerful scoped rifle.

Classes Upgrades

Two levels of upgrades for each character class:

Actually 12 players adds a more interesting team dynamic. Since the game is also class based, it also gives each player a chance to play their class an contribute to the game.

When games start hitting 24+ players, it can make you feel like just another soldier running around with a mass of other soldiers around. This is not to say 32 player games are not fun in their own right but 12 is a good number for many of the varied mission types in Call of Jaurez: Bound In Blood.

Thanks for posting Raide. I have a few questions concerning multiplayer and i'd be grateful if you (or anyone in the know) could answer them...

1. In shootout, are all the players bounty constantly displayed on screen?
2. Can you customize game settings like match length or kill limit. I should be able to play a game for an hour if i want.
3. Can i choose to play on the same team as my friends whether in a ranked or unranked game?
4. Are horses on every map (or any)?

1) Not 100% sure, sorry. I need to get playing my copy. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

2) Under the Create a Match option, the lowest time is 5:00 and the highest is 1:00:00. Depending on the Match Type depends on the settings. Matches with Bounties can be changed regarding the maximum bounty available.(e.g. Wanted Mode $200, $250, $300, $350 or No Limit)

You can also set the Public and Private number of slots, Number of Players needed to Start, Map, Game Type, Friendly Fire options etc. Options changed depending on the mode you choose.

3) Ranked has no Private Slots, so no ability to save slots for your friends. I am not 100% this means you cannot just have a friend join a match but it might put them on a different side.

4) Horses are dependant on which Game Type you pick. It appears more in the Wild West Legends mode, since they play certain key rolls in the event. Some of the maps are a little too close quarters to have horses running around.

Thanks Raide.

Someone over on the official xbox forums has written up a pretty detailed multiplayer review and the online seems pretty awesome and i'm a bit suppressed that Ubi aren’t advertising the game (particularly mulitplayer) better.

If i like the game when i get it, i'll do my best to spread the word. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif

What is worse is that the technical contact link is bad. It forces you to login again and then it says error.
This is a really crappy way to introduce a game.
REFUND FROM GAMESTOP or what guys?!

Went home and played at lunch...looks like things are slowly picking up. Went from 4-5 servers last night with 20-30 playing, to 12 servers with 65-70 playing. Not bad and as the game continues it's release globally we should continue to see the #'s go up.

I'll be curious to see how the #'s are looking Friday night. Great game so far! Had a blast...if it weren't for this darned 'work' thing I'd still be at home playing. =)

Raide,

I love this game. Great job. I have a couple of issues on the PS3 version that I am not sure if you guys are aware of yet.

#1. When a player leaves the game, in any mode, the in-game chat cuts out. Hopefully this is something you guys can fix with a quick update very soon.

#2. I am trying to sell this game to my C.O.D. friends but they will not buy it unless you guys can implement a party system or at least a join friend function.

#3. You should be able to host a truly private match. I like to be able to learn the in's and out's of all the maps with my friends.

Raide, if you guys can get these few things fixed you will have the best shooter of 2009. Also, with the party system, we could get this bad boy on GameBattles and think about the endless publicity.

My question for you is do you guys want to be in the ranks of COD4, WaW, and Halo?

Thanks,
xF-I-R-E-M-A-Nx

I'm confused to how Wild West Legends is scored.

I just got through playing a game on Nogales and as the Lawmen we prevented the other team from getting the safe. In fact, all they did was breach the bank. Then, as an outlaw, my team was able to do everything except get out of town. But, somehow, we ended up losing because this timer said we took longer or something.

I think it's some error with the game because it must have assumed that we had been outlaws in both rounds instead of realizing that we switched from being Lawmen to Outlaws. This is the only theory I can come up with and hope someone can tell me what the problem is. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

I am trying to sell this game to my C.O.D. friends but they will not buy it unless you guys can implement a party system or at least a join friend function. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Totally agree. My friend and I picked this up for the 360 this morning, couldn't wait. Love the game so far, but the biggest letdown is the inability to smoothly and easily join up with a friend on line and/or invite a friend to a game, etc. We found we both had to go to "Custom Match" and then both find a host meeting the parameters and then join the host. Which is fine until it then took another 5 minutes to start the game and within 2 minutes of the Ranked Match starting up, we both got booted - "connection to the host was lost," etc. This process repeated about 10 times. Doh.

For people that are getting Invalid Serial Number when trying to get online with legit serials from download providers, check out this post I started on the Steam forum: http://forums.steampowered.com...0553115&postcount=33 (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10553115&postcount=33)

The same may apply to other providers with your installer.
