A router is only needed if you have two systems needing to use the internet connection that the router provides for both machines.

Since, you do not use/play onto your PS2 anymore, just put away the PS2 console and the router into a safe and dry storing place(they both are getting archived as of right now).

Enjoy HoMM5!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
