Hello all,
I am a bit confused on this one. I installed game and an install error message about missing file occured. I then un-installed game completely.
Re-installed and dis-activated all anti-virus and anti-Spyware programs. No error on second install. I then proceeded to try and update to patch 1,03 and about at 9 % of the install I get error message stating that an old file is not found but simular exist no update will be made. error code 36 and then patch install hangs or crashes.
Please can anybody assist on this.
I have been trying to get Ubisoft support for 2 days but to no avail since I geta messge stating problem with site support try again later.

Thanks

I am having this exact same problem. I've even tried installing the patch in safe-mode but get the same result.

Right the game is near unplayable due to frequent lag/pausing in the game that I hope this patch fixes (blind optimism).

have you downloaded the 100mb+ patch or the 30mb one?

I have downloaded the automatic patch via game setting, then downloaded both manual patch 1.01 and 1.03 same results on all.
I have un-installed the game 5 times now. Even tried installing it to another hard drive and same results.
this is getting pretty frustrating and I cant even get in touch wit Support or assistance due to problem with their site.

Well Finally I found how to fix the Code 36 error.
And NO thanks to Ubisoft BTW.
It is tricky but works,
It has to do with hidden folders on your PC under the C dirve, that is where the files extract themselves for install.
If yuo would like assitance in this matter let me know.
The first part is when you do the update via the Ubisoft program, you MUST click on advance. This will let you know path where files are being extracted to. Then it get a little bit more complex( Since these are hidden files)
The trick is to delete ALL files relating to Ubisoft the file that refers to crash.

most of the folders will look something like : bye7.temp (now since these are temp files I would not worry )

Well like I said it was not going to be realllll easy, if you figured out that Ubisoft still hasn't. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

I am having this problem with the 1.04 patch.. This is rediculous that Ubi does not post a solution to this problem.
