We know Fisher's primary and secondary weapons, but what of his knife?

Sam has been using the FN F2000 (SC-20K Rifle) and FN Five-seveN (5-7 SC Pistol) since the first Splinter Cell. ConViction continues this by including the successor of the SC-20K, the SC3000, and a brand new R&D version of the Five-seveN.

But what of his knife? Fisher only started using a combat knife during Chaos Theory and its model has been changing with each incarnation and novel.

The first two novels referenced his knife as being a USMC KA-BAR and Sam later used a Fairbairn-Sykes fighting dagger in Splinter Cell: Checkmate, while in Chaos Theory and the XBox/PS2 version of Double Agent it's portrayed as a Gerber Backup Guardian and in the XBox 360/PS3 version of Double Agent it's a Masters of Defense Keating Hornet.

So what do you think? Since we have threads talking about Fisher's side arm, I thought it was time to discuss his knife.

A combat knife is more usefull then a gun, but put them both together you have a true killer

I was kinda aiming at that...
But really i liked the knife... after CT it was like how can I they can play first two SC whtout it...Conviction lost yet another cool SC feature...but WI will still buy this game...Sam will be Sa, with or without knife

I think when we are quickly taking down trained mercs with our bare hands, and smashing their faces through doors, the knife will be the last thing we think about.

The knife still has its uses, such as:

- Conserving ammo when killing a guard...oh wait, the Five-seveN has unlimited ammo.

- Killing guards silently...oh wait, guards are completely deaf now.

- Breaking lo--Sam can now shatter doors like the Hulk.


Nevermind. I see why they excluded the knife.

How about you actually try reading first, before having a noob tantrum?

This poll was about which knife should be referred to as Fisher's "official" knife, since it's already been established that his primary weapon was the prototype SC-20K M.A.W.S. Rifle, his secondary weapon was (and still is) the 5-7 SC Pistol, and his choice of hand-to-hand combat is krav maga (which was previously established in another novel, way before ConViction).
