Game Crashing to Black Screen with "SH2 Screen Blanker" Running [Archive]

SH2 crashes with sh2 screen blanker is running.
I have tried to run an alternate exe file in the game directory without any luck.

Following message keep appearing:
"Error -2147467263 [(ddrval!=DD_OK)]
DirectX code: "DDERR_UNSUPPORTED"
C:\Devel\Janus2\Windows\Sources\BD3DImg.cpp
Line 413"

How can i solve this problem.....?

First of all, why do you want to play such a nasty game? Move to SH3!

Second: give info about the PC you're using, your OS and all this stuff. SH2 had trouble with the "out of box" Windows XP Service Pack 1. So if this is the OS you've, better you get it updated -no need to get up to SP2, but to get all the updates you can while being in SP1.
