I just purchased a digital download of Magic 5 and installed and successfully loaded v1.42. When trying to run the game, i notice that everytime I move the mouse, the screen image will freeze. I still hear the music and sound effects, but the image is stuck as long as I move the mouse. Once I stop moving the mouse, the screen runs normal. Any ideas?

Just force your current display resolution to:
1280x1024
Go get the "(February 2007) upgrade" of your current DX9.0c from Microsoft.com's downloads' web-page.

Can you get to options and click hardware cursor?

Unfortunatly, changing the resolution didn't effect the issue. I have the latest Directx. The hardware cursor made the mouse movements smoother, but the background image would still pause when I moved the mouse around the screen. I tried running the game Dungeon Siege and got the same mouse pausing. So now , at least, I know it's not an issue with the game. I smell a HD format and new install coming. THanks for your replys.

Go to DriverAgent.com for a free of charge's overall scan of all components installed in your PC.

Do not panic afer the results are pied as to show the % of outdated Drivers you might have. It happens to everyone. No matter how good your PC seems to be at first glance.
