Unlockable Altair costume...

Is the Altair costume you unlock through UPlay, the same you unlock by collecting the seals?
I bought the game yesterday and don't want to take a massive shortcut in the game. But if they're 2 different ones then I'd like t unlock it.

I can't answer your question with 100% certainty, but I have already finished the game and the armour you unlock with the seals are black and much more elegant than the white one worn in AC1. It would strike me as very odd if the armour from Uplay reward is the same as the one you unlock in the game.

Finished the game a couple of days ago: the two are different. The one you unlock through the seals is a black Master Assassin's outfit and the one you unlock through Uplay is the 'plain' white outfit Altair wears in Assassin's Creed 1.

Yes, Altairs "armor" is different than Altairs "outfit". The armor is available in-game by getting all six assassins seals. The outfit is just a "skin", a look that you need to download from Uplay after earning enough points.
