Because the Emotion engine was designed form the GROUND up to take advantage of PS2 games. developers are lazy and churn half-assed products on it, but look at SONS of liberty, PS2 version VS Xbox,. Which version looks better? PS2 of course. no slowdown and crisper gfx.

Xbox is a pc graphics chip, and pc's suck so xbox already looks bad. noT one xbox game looks good.

Halo sucks but GTA is amazing. OMG!!11 Rainbow 6 just looks better on ps2 anyways. because of the emotion engine. and theres only 6 people because ubi soft didnt wanna ruion it with 16.

Rainbow 6 while good on ps2 doesn't hold a light to xbox, if its so much better why not the rag doll effects? Oh yeah I forgot the processor couldn't handle it.
