Has this ever happened to anyone else? Me and My friends have been playing ssbm alot for the past few days. i got on halo 2 and when a ghost was trying to splatter me, i jumped and pulled the left trigger. in my mind i was going to air-dodge the ghost like you can dodge in smash bros. has anyone else ever gotten games mixed up on accident?

All the time, though it's usually just a matter of 3D games having opposite lookaround controls.

Most common for me is hitting the L1 button for autorun in a game that's not FFXI.

On the one hand, I respect that reference and the fact that you played that game. On another, booooo, this is one time when I will say that PC is the way the game was meant to be played.

I have discovered with great distress that I cannot dual wield in Halo 1.

Last night i decided to join some friends on black arrow for old times sake and caught myself trying to jump every time a grenade flew my way.

I have done that many times when going back and forth through games, I can see myself trying to hijack vehicles, attempting to dual-weild, lock on with the RL, and find the green flag

EDIT: I have also, while walking into my dad's buisness building that was still in construction and was completely dark at the time, wanting to pull out my plasma sword just in case.

I presume you're talking about FFXI.

/rant
I totally disagree, I play (and still do) both versions of it WITH A CONTROLLER. They're configured as exact as each other as possible. Even so, you can play the PS2 version with the keyboard (no mouse needed, those controls are super awkward) if you wanted. The game is almost exactly the same, minus resolution differences. The PC version lags visually to no end, where the PS2 version only forces you to type slow in a crowded area.

Something about mashing my hand on a keyboard as opposed to holding a controller comfortably....

You may also notice the keyboard controls are nearly identical to what's available on a controller, except you're more likely to hit the wrong key.

/end rant

We all have our differences tho.... ...and after typing all this I'll probably find out you had an entirely different reason for your preference.

Ever since I got the PS2 version, I use that much much more...

You won't find a big argument from me against console gaming, because it's a lot more economically sensible to buy a $150 console that won't go obsolete for three or four years and works /perfectly/ for every game released on it...You know, instead of a $2000 gaming rig every other year to keep up with the trends.
My reason for preferring PC to PS2 with FFXI is more of a feel thing; it simply seems wrong to me that an MMORPG could be played on a console. Additionally, I didn't actually know the keyboard could be used to control it, I thought a keyboard could only be used for typing, and that's my mistake. Of course, to that end, I /do/ prefer the PC control setup versus a PS2 controller. The PS2 controller is eloquent in design, but again I just don't think it feels right to control an MMORPG in that fashion.

I can picture that. Things like Everquest and whatnot are like a glorified MUD to some. I'm not 100% though but I think FFXI was originally released on PS2 in Japan? Perhaps that's why I lean the other direction.

I play on the Kujata server Zack. Let me know if you get it and I'll grab you a worldpass.

It's the halo melee i miss the most in other games! Nothing like a good whack in the head to make you feel better

I would like to say the following: there is no such thing (NO SUCH THING) as too much Smash Melee. It's a priviledge, not a right.
