I don't see why there is any confusion about the next Rainbow Six. It says right on the back of the game case "Return to Vegas for the LAST time and put an end to the terrorist threat once and for all".

No more stupid city-based games, like Rainbow Six: Vegas, seriously.

Last time I checked Rainbow Six was a world wide anti terrorist unit not just based of a single city.

Where is the option to vote for a rainbow six like the good old style BEFORE Lockdown and Vegas???
It's a pity, that the new fan base seems to be constricted to Vegas style R6 games. There is a lack of perspective, in my humble opinion.

It kinda bothers me to see so many people begging for the "Good Ole' Days" of Rainbow Six. Sure, they were great games, but a franchise does need to evolve. Occasionally there will be "Mistakes" like Vegas 1 & 2, but going back to the old style makes no sense, financially or logically.

We need a new Rainbow now Ghost Recon looks like Halo, I love Halo, but I don't want invisibility in a GR game. Grrr.

You are missing their point(I think). I think they mean is that Vegas dropped a lot of options that made the old ones so great. The old ones had more guns, more tactics, the teams were bigger, the missions were more objective based. The Vegas series is really a more shallow version of the old games. While it is important to evolve you shouldn't drop the things that got you this far in the first place.

I hope they make a new game with some features from both games such as the little map in the top corner of the coop mode in vegas 1 to see our teamates and where they are. Also I like the fact that the terrorists dont respon behind you after you have cleared them out. i like the jumping right into a game in vegas two as well as a couple of respons and being able to run. The map in the top corner of vegas one to me is the most important tool of the game as i use that all the time to see where everyone is and what direction they are covering.

There was a time when people didnt need a hud map or gps to be effective, yes they were that good.

Yeah but the lack of those things makes games too hardcore and apparently not accessible enough.
As per Ubisoft's creative director.
MB: It's interesting, because I just came from a talk with [Lionhead Studios boss] Peter Molyneux and he was discussing accessibility. I think it's a subject that is very touchy right now because as an industry we want to grow. We need to stop making games that are super hardcore.
Also mentions sticking to a franchises core values which definitely conflicts with whether or not a game should go the more difficult route. Also somewhat ironic how making games easier somewhat stifles innovation and creativity.

I want to see a Rainbow Six soon. This one should be based world wide. There should be multiple cities and locations. Exampls Baghdad, New York, Boston, Bangkok, Paris, London, Rome, Moscow, Hong Kong, Montreal, Los Angels, Somewhere in Egypt, Damascus, Tehran, Beijing, Munich, Berlin. Make multiple locations in some cities for multplayer. The terrorists need to be middle eastern and tie in the cities with a great plot. I'm sure I could come up with one. Don't change the game play to much from R6v and R6V2. Maybe add Knifing and prone position. R6V R6V2 are unbelievable games. Get going and make another R6

Somemore upgrades for the new rainbow six. Make the online multiplayer maps bigger and add a few more players to the game like 2 or 3 per team. Don't plan on adding any of the old maps as downloadable content. Don't add any killstreak rewards because all that does is add to people sitting in a doorway and waiting for someone to walk by to shoot. Make the selection of weapons a little bit larger. About 3 or 4 more for each group. Have the option to create and join parties. Add some titles to recieve as achievements and keep the whole idea of creating your camo and custom outfitting your soldier.

I was really looking forward to the Ghost Recon game until I heard about the invisibility. I then realized that this game was going to be futuristic and unrealistic. It seems like it is moving in a direction like Halo. Im not a Halo fan because it is not based on reality. I will still buy Ghost Recon and give it a chance but I don't believe I'll play it or enjoy it as much as I did any of the older versions or R6. I may end up just putting it to the side and continue to play MW2 but I would rather play a new R6. Ubisoft you can blow MW2 away with a new R6.

Future Soldier could be fun. Well Ghost Recon 1 & 2 were fun. But I think Rainbow Six is the FPS series that there is. Vegas 1 & 2 are like the Godfather of FPS gaming at least for me they are. I just hope for another one.

If they are to make one your going to have to wait because ubisoft has been working on Assassin's Creed 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction so maybe this might be their next title but i think Assassin's Creed will come first.

I really want a new R6 game. I scan the game websites (ie: Kotaku, Game Trailers etc..) weekly to see if there is anything on the horizon. Nothing yet.
Going back to the RainbowSix3 style game play would be incredible. (International Maps, ability to lean, crack doors) I wouldn't want to give up some of the new features for the old ones, but having some of the classic moves would be nice.
You got my vote.

p.s. "A" button for jump would be nice when its not an action button. Just a thought.

Yeah! we now know that one of them is hawx 2, I hope the next one is RB6 and this time if they use the cover system make it jus like high stakes with minimal view.

I know I can speak for a lot of people when I say that we want a new Rainbow Six that is more tactical than Vegas 1 and 2. Classic Tom Clancy games are some of the best of all time, and I'm worried that if they keep on making their games shallower, the new Rainbow Six(if there even is going to be one) it is going to be another MW clone.
