Help - no ocean textures

g'day all,

going quite insane, as I can't get any ocean textures to come up.... I have updated the latest drivers for my video card (GeForce 4 MX440), have played with the video settings within the game and I have also tried re-installing. This problem occurs both pre and post 1.1patch.

I am running a dual video card system - but I'm not sure how that would effect it considering everything else works fine!

Any suggestions will be most appreciated (oh and I'm sure my weapons officer would like his body back too!)

I had the same problem. The MX440 is not a supported Graphics Card. The only solution is to purchase a Graphics Card that is capable of "Particle Shading". I've bought the XFX FX5500 256Mb for â£50 ($75).

Lets face it - if you have to buy another card - make it a fair one. I'm sure many people would say "get a ATI Radeon 9600 Pro" etc etc but lets be realistic....most of us will do fine with a mid-priced card.
