should i buy ghost recon now it is 2003 is it one of those legendary got to have games and im buying the original not the gold edition is the desert siege and the other expansion free or you have to buy it.thanx

Welcome to the Ghost Recon forums and glad your thinking of coming on board with GR. I would like to say that if at all you can afford the gold edition it is by far the best value for your money. The reason why I say this is that if your wanting to enjoy the online experience then having GR plus the two expansion packs Desert Siege and Island Thunder is the way to go.

It is very hard to find game to join with just GR and if you do get just GR then your going to kick yourself for not getting the other as well. GR is a squad based game and not a run and gun shoot-em up but you can employ those tactics but you will be cut down very fast.

Don't sell yourself short as when you start gaming with this game your going to be hooked.

the two expansion packs Desert Siege and Island Thunder arent free to download they have to be bought seperately?

With the gold edition they come with it, but you can buy them as a separate item but you must have GR for them to work as there not a stand alone game. No there not free to download buddy.

You can not make mistake by purchasing GR Gold Editon!
Also I want to mention that beside original missions and mods there are hundreds and hundreds mods made in GR
community! When I say hundreds I want to say hundreds of truly good mods.
