Nice new screenshots, quite a lot of them! Just can't wait for the final release!

from this screenshots it seems that we will be able to know exactly how many units are going to suffer in the stack and also if it can retaliate. it really concerns me, i mean, that too much information is going to make the battle real easy. i dunno if its going to be in final version but when there isnt this info then u always have to remember if the unit already retaliated and calculate (or have a rough estimation) the amount of damage you gonna give...

i guess Nival really wants the battles to go fast...

what do u guys think?

I think speeding up battles is a good thing. I'm pretty good with numbers, so I used to do the maths in my head in H3, but I know guys who used to have a pen & a piece of paper next the them while playing Heroes. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif At least for them this is a good feature. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Nice big battlefields, improved interface and seemingly justified overall good impression by the reviewer - what more could I wish for? Other than a bit more information on how to get my hands on the deluxe/limited edition on release date that is http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

So, what's new?

New horse cursor

Now the information how many will you kill and whether they'll retaliate will show up near the mouse cursor and not only in the log

New font?

Now creatures are highlighted when you pass the mouse by them

We can now see the 10*12 battlefield

The camera allows us to view the battlefield from any angle since it's possible now to move it like the advanture map (as seen in the gamespot movie)
[/list]

heroes.ag.ru posted more screenshots and better analysys ... which is no wonder, because the guy who made the preview had played HMM5 beta for many months before that... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I can't understand russion but from the pictures I can see:

The neutral creatures also got a symbol under them to make them more noticable

New ability screen. what's up with the new ability screen? We can't choose 4 abilities from the same skill? (but we got skills with more than 3 abilities related to them)

We got two new icons in the creature screen (http://heroes.ag.ru/h5/press/jpg/h10.jpg) but I'm not sure what they are for

we can now split our army in the battlefield (http://heroes.ag.ru/h5/press/jpg/h14.jpg)

Yes i think it is related tactics too... it is very good for be only a feature of the game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif However, we will soon see the new options http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

A russian test of this version(0.8) shows that you don't need a skill to split the stacks in the tactics phase!

Heroes 3 also had an option to tell you how many creatures would be killed. As for retaliation, I can see no problem with that info being added. These information are given anyway, and they're just making the calculations for you.

Anyways, the game is looking great. I can't wait to pick up my copy!
