Hi-Playing v1.2, career, Asiatic, 2/42. How many torps does it take to sink a lousy merchie?

It's been taking me 4 torps to put a 3000+ ton ship down. This seems excessive to me.

What am I doing wrong? Has anyone else had this happen to them? Coments, please. Hugh Browne

Without going in to details about getting into the correct position, it's unbelieveably important to be in the correct firing position.
I normally set torps about 50-60% of draft. If there are no amunitions on board then I aim for the fuel tanks or the engine room, depends on the situation.

Can you explain how you aim the fish where you want them?

Im assuming youre using auto solution and you change the angle?

If your using autoaim, then its just a matter of adjusting the spread/giroangle. If your usinf manual... well you need to adjust ALL figures accordingly... this is where exprience or luck comes into it.

To aim the torps where you want them, take the lock off by hitting the "L" key. As the crossshairs drift across your target, wherever they fall when you hit the fire button is where the TDC will aim the fish. It's actually very accurate when used this way...

Only problem is with using that method is that if the ship is turning whilst you fire, the new measurements are not taken into consideration... however with the autoaim on... it takes in slightly more measurements into consideration (IMO).

Although i think the best way to do it is with MANUAL AIM. BE A PRO. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
