Need some help with the camera mode?

i'm new to this game. I dont know for some reason my camera mode in a game is running 360 degree view. everytime i press normal view it dont stay and than come back to the same thing. does any has the same problem? if i reset the camera but it never stays at the same exact position. do i have to change some settings? help me out plzz

what kind of system r u using because if its playstation if you want to go far away you press L2 and if you want to go to first person where you can look all around you press R2 to get out of these views just re press the button that you pressed anitially.

And if you haven't palyed the sands of time i suggest you pick up that on as well it kind of explains the common moves you can do better in both the games.

I think he must be on a PC because I have the same problem. If you switch to first person, it stays there for like 3 seconds and then it changed back to 3rd person. What is worse is the camera kept sporadically swinging here and there, and it refuses to move inside a wall where often the best view is if it moves into the wall (one can make the wall transparent while the camera is inside the wall but the ubisoft team just simply forbids the camera moving inside other objects). You don't have much control over the camera. Often you want a better look at something and find that you can't. You have to actually move the prince and then switch to 1st person view to do that which is awkward and annoying as hell.

I think it is "convenient programming" that forces us to certain camera angles at many portions of the game.

We do not have 360 degree control over the camera at all times.
However, you can always switch briefly to the prince's personal view to look around and inspect the environment.

Yeh, that is a bummer. Maybe additional viewing would have made the game too big for one playable CD-ROM (? I think I being too kind on the developers.)
