Does any think they really miss the 2D simplicity of the graphics in H3?

In every game that made a transfer from 2D to 3D, the one criteria I had to wether it was an improvement, or a failure, was that it had to be easy to see what was going on! What I mean by this is, that in an rts you have to be able to have an overvieuw of what's going on, in an adventure game (the worst kind of 3D-transfers ever!) you have to be able to walk the world easy,.....

My point is, IF everything is as easy controllable as if it was 2D, I'm not going to complain. It's even going to be more beautiful.
The one thing there also is though, if it's 3D your'e going to need a strong PC (which I lack) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Hell yes, i even like the 2D style in Homm1 [The blood engulfing the body http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif]. Also simpler graphics = nv had to spent $$ upgrading my comp.

I agree totaly. its essential you can navigate the map with ease and be able to quickly assess the situation.

i think when i get this game i may have to turn the graphics down to their lowest also.

i have to say i love the timeing of the release, conveniently just after i finish my exams http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

Yes, it is difficult to port a 2D game to 3D. Best example is Civilization 4 in which you only can see the hair of your soldiers from above now.
(and distinguish them too :> )
