Glad to see PC gaming fell off this list. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I gladly call myself a geek. Anyone as addicted to gaming as I am should be one!

How does that go again Valkyrie? We may be referred to as geeks now, but later on we'll be referred to as millionaires? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I love Army of Darkness. That movie has the best compilation of goofy one-liners.

A lot of which were lifted from the second movie, Dead By Dawn.

How about all the AOD cuts out there? Too numerous to count. You seen the one with the extended scenes of the mini-Ashes? With the London Bridge is falling down bit? See them and see why they were cut http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I was going to name my first son Ash. Pokemon had to ruin that for me http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

*laughs* do webcomics count? We don't seem to argue about those much, only speculate :P

I only get three of those points, though. The rest don't really apply to me.

****it! I'm not geeky enough! *sob*

And here I was thinking it was perfectly acceptable for me to be gushing over the Millenium Falcon in the original style packaging this morning http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I go to horror movie conventions, too. I didn't see that listed but I normally feel a little out of place at them. I did get a signed copy of Spookshow International at one, though so I guess that counts for the comic book thing haha http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Speaking of comics here are a couple of good ones that I usually check out on a daily/weekly basis. Some or most of you probably heard of the first one. Second one might not be so many.

http://www.inktank.com

On the second one check out Angst Technology and Weekend Warriors. The Sorry Were Open one is fairly new and doesn't have a whole lot yet.

Seppuku, that is Seanbaby from the EGM competition, and he is not a geek hater - dude he reads nothing BUT comics. I am sure he uses geek in the most affectionate way http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The article left out myt favorite geek hobbies: World of Warcraft, Liar's Dice, Database schema design, reinstalling my OS, and of course FORUMS!!

btw - here is seanbaby with the Frag Dolls.

I would have to say that some of my favorite g&&k hobbies are...

Building & Repairing PC's (for friends and family - which is what I do for a living ironically), Forums, Online Gaming, checking out new PC technologies (for building better gaming riggs), Anime, and looking at strange things on the net.

GamerTag: Magiz
Playing: Halo 2 and NFSU2

my top geeky hobbies would have to be anime, comics, putting burning bags of dog poo at peoples' houses, j/k http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif does cow-tipping count? what about extreme hopscotch???

HallmarkMoment
11-30-2004, 12:01 PM
I fail to see what the 10 of those hobbies, except #6 'Vampirism', has to do with biting the heads off of live chickens...

And wow... Extreme hopscotching, I thought I was alone on that one. I guess I'm the only one who does it professionally, though.

Hmmmm.... Extreme hopscotching... How is that different from your regular hopscotch? Do you throw punches and tackle people as they hop or soemthing?

Well, there are different variations. The one that I do is the 'Blindfold Burning Bag' hopscotch...You are blindfolded and nose plugged in the start with barefoot, there are a few burning bags of dog poo in the few squares. The object is like regular hopscotch but you have to get across without landing on any smelly poo. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

You see, that's Amateur Extreme Hopscotching... the type you will probably see on MTV in the next few months.

Professional Extreme Hopscotching is hopscotching 40 meters, and having a sac of potato's attached to your back, while holding 10 pound dumb-bells and never letting them drop lower than a 90 degree angle. Whilst avoiding moldy spit-wads being shot from underly dressed Mongrels. And avoiding those bags of 'fun' that that Ppiep dude explained.

In under 20 seconds...
