help in Kadish Tolesa

I got all 3 telescopes set right, then went thru the doorway in the tree, to the big room to figure out the correct floor settings, but on my PC I cannot see anyuthing on the floor (nothing shows up) so I can't do that puzzle..now what? I shut down and want start fresh another day, but how do I get back to that big hall again??? Do I have to go back and set all the telescopes again? because the doorway in the tree is now closed and I can't get thru.....and when I try to do all the steps again, the game shuts down every time. Frustrating!! Now what? any ideas?
