Welcome to RSV forums... the place that'll make you want to http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/touche.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

What are the arena servers?

OK, first off you'll need to forward your ports - like opening gates - you can view a step by step guide to setting up your ports here: Portforward guides by router (http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm) - select your router from the list, then the application you want to forward ports for (in this case rainbow six vegas)

Make sure you've allowed "R6Vegas_Game," "PnkBstr.exe," and "PnkBstr.B" through your firewall, or disable your firewall. Depending on your antivirus you may need to disable that also, although I know Nod32, AVG, and kaspersky should all be fine left on.

If you haven't updated yet, don't use the launcher, it can cause problems, instead download and install patch 1.05, then 1.06 (download links can be found in "useful links (PC)" at the top of the forum.)

Next download and install the map pack (available under the same useful links thread) otherwise you won't be able to play a lot of games...

Err... I think that's it, you should be set to go... If anybody notices I've missed anything shout out http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

So start your game, go to multiplayer, click online and enter your cd key... look for games that have a ping value of less than 100 if possible... If you have a high bandwidth you may want to try hosting games instead of just joining them. It sometimes takes a few minutes waiting for people to join, but they will...

You may also want to download and install xfire (http://xfire.com/download/now/) if you haven't already, you won't really need teamspack unless you join a clan that uses it... You can add me to xfire, my nick's: "funkmunky" without the quotes - just stick a little note on saying who you are when you send the add request
