The problem is people still lurking on the forums probably kept it. Most people don't care enough think about how many "NO SPY VS MERC!!!" threads there were, people were ****ed so they returned the game and never visited the forums again.
Like WTF Ubisoft, no spy vs merc.... throwing away such an original idea.

I will be patient until I hear/see the first news about sc6.
If nothing has been done to bring about a positive change, ubi will have made it clear that they care more about the $$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$ rather than one of the many things money can't buy.....
Actually, I won't even say it. I think Sam said it best in sc:ct:
Sam: Medals don't help me sleep at night, Lambert.
Read between the lines ubi.

I've played all the SC Titles and their respective SvM Mode (except for Pandora Tomorrows, no PS2 Ethernet Cable http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif), and while I recognize that the SvM multiplayer is missing I have not returned Conviction because I still think it's fun. Is it REALLY a SC game? Nah, but it's the closest thing to it that has come out in the past 3 years.

well this is very odd...for me conviction was good enough and i enjoyed it...but there are not any games with pure stealth now...does that mean that companies see that the market only needs action action action these days????

A game doesn't need pure stealth just stealth elements which convictions has none of... other than your in the light or your not..
Also the market doesn't know whats best look at the crap they have been coming out with, everything for the 360 is becoming casual gaming. They make actions games because all the best selling games are action shooters Halo, MW2, and GOW.

I didn't even buy it, so I can't vote.
After renting it, I decided I didn't want to contribute to Ubi's sales (speaking with my wallet).
I rented it a second time because I really wanted to be able to enjoy it, but I couldn't.
It's the only Splinter Cell I don't own.

Well, I didn't have so much time to game anymore, so I'm still having fun playing Deniable Ops in the free time I do have.
So, yeah.. I kept the game.

Why would I return my copy of Conviction? Heck I have 4 versions of DA. There would be a big hole in my collection if Conviction wasn't there. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Ive considered returning it, but a few things stopped me:
1. Ghost Recon Beta. Not sure if Ill be invited to it if I didn't have the game at the time. I get the impression from the leaflet I would, but I dont want to take that chance.
2. I still occasionally go on Conviction. When I do, I try to play it as stealthily as possible, or only use CQC, or use a different pistol other than the Five-seveN. Or just throw stealth to the wind (which the game seems to want me to do http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif) and **** about with a shotgun.
3. Hunter is fun. Not CO-OP though. Too many people who act like ******s (Seriously, do they have an EXTREME hatred of all things electrical, so much so they HAVE to shoot all lights with a Deagle?)
So, until I get COMPLETELY bored of the game, and Ive played the Beta, Ill keep it. Then trade it in. It simply doesnt have the re playability of, literally, ANY other Splinter Cell.

I should have returned it, but I took a crazy approach. I snapped the Disc in half.
