Yeah, that's a move. But, I believe both the Five-seveN and the SC-20K are choosable in SC:CT Co-op. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

this is why im asking this question. arent the shadownet guys not allowed to use leathal force on mission? only splinter cell operatives are allowed 2 use leathal force with bullets is what i mean. thats why i put up this thread.

Correction, Shadownet spies were not allowed to use lethal force in pandora tomorrow, but things have changed. Shadownet spies are now the replacements if Sam should he die, so naturally they are subject to the same rules.

I don't think the coop spies are ShadowNet. Aren't they just two Splinter Cells working together?

Splinter Cell = Solo Operative, works with remote team.
Shadownet = Two Operatives, not allowed to work with remote team.

Coop in SC:CT beta, is cool, very cool. But imagine it with 10 times better graphics, and together with a friend sitting next to you on his console, and hunting the AI instead of those lame Mercenaries.
Coop I say? KIIIIIIIIIICK ***!

Not excactly if he dies, they are sort of a cleanup crew. They do missions, but they are not so critical as Sam's and don't require one to be alone.
They rely on teamwork.

Well put SikoraB. But, things have changed since Pandora Tomorrow. You may figure out why in SC:CT. Therefore, allowing the ShadowNet Spies able to use lethal weapons. And they're also considering ShadowNet Spies, not really Splinter Cell's. A Splinter Cell is one individual working alone, and the ShadowNet Spies are two operatives working together. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

The coop players are splinter cells. It's just that they're rookies so they have them work together. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I'm 99.9% sure that they are Shadownet spies!

you know, they could be a whole new branch. Shadownet was new in the 2nd, why not another branch? They're probably getting more funding after Sam saved America TWICE. Also, ever thought that maybe there's two because one person wouldn't be able to make it? Think about it. Not to mention, with two people, that equals more fire power, and more options. Sounds safer to me.

okay listen. you play as the shadownet spies but they are junior opertives. i asked the question because svm u still cant use leathal force but in coop you can. its a little confusing.

*sigh* can you imagine if spies had lethal force? They could hide in the shadows and snipe, and it wouldn't be fair for the mercernaries. THE WHOLE POINT OF SVM IS THE CAT AND MOUSE GAME, not a firepower contest. With guns, there would be no incentive to be stealthy, and therefore the mercs would require at the least, something on the order of the Master Cheif's Mark 6 armor from Halo 2 for only a pair of them to be effective. Now if there are 14 merceraries, as they currently are, and 2 spies, no problem, but for the current gameplay to be BALANCED, svm has to have non-lethal and MOSTLY SNEAKY spies. It's simple.
And to those who say guns would make it more fun for spies:
How about fun for the mercs? Am I supposed to stand still so you can get my neck easily? Or mayybe I should just kill myself to save you the trouble. Spies get satisfaction from getting objectives (neck snaps in DM) without the mercs knowing they were there. Mercs get satisfaction from hunting down and killing spies. If you like killing, you're either playing on the wrong side or the wrong game. Trust me, I'm in the beta, and even in dm, its way more fun to play as a spy with a good partner and never even let your oponent know you were there, then to drop grenades everywhere and smash A (XBOX) or X (PS2) or the currently assinged action key (PC).

Yeah, your right for SvM.
But anyway, I doubt the coop spies are shadownets. I think that they're more incorperated with Sam. Like people just to replace Sam when he retires. At the end of a coop movie, sam says: Nice job, for rookies.

The spies in co-op mode get to also use the attachments for the SC-20K.Because on one screen I saw it showed a co-op chracter interrogating a guard. And on the HUD it said he had the Shotgun equipped.
