The update does not work, since i have installed the game not in C:\ (it's in E). What can I do other than installing it again on C:\?

ok i've tried to update from 1.02 to 1.03 using the 8mb patch and it says that the Setup.exe older file cannot be found, but it has found a file of the same name and no update will be applied. What gives? Some help please.

First I would just like to say that I love the game but I have to tell you that I have had troubles with this patch that I didn't with the first now there have been times in a multiplayer game where when I am killed and i need to field promote a remaining member that it witches me to a member that gets killed immediatly and then after I cannot select another member of my squad and I have to wait untill he gets killed(I don't know if this has happend to anyone else but it gets pretty anoyying) then in multiplayer I found that once when I was switiching between weapons that my weapon dissapears from infront of me and I have no gun. I go to the ground to pick up a new gun(because switching is doing nothing) and it shows me throwing my previous gun on the ground but no new gun is shown in the screen. Now it might be my vid card but this computer is only a half a year old with a 2.6 GHz with hyper threading so you be the judge but I never used to have problems with the v.1.02

I've got exactly the same issue when updating my Brother In Arms game.. But on the other, from what i see it's maybe lucky, 'cause the patch seems to be ridicilous?!

...but I don't mind mentioning it again.

1. Ironsights stay on when throwing grenade.
2. Stupid AI, they don't always go where you tell them, they don't listen and when they do, they don't always setup correctly.
3. I'm now experiencing, what some ppl have called the 'rubberband effect', I'd call it plain and simply...lag...and extreme bouts of lag when all 4 teams are getting into close proximity with each other. We all run highspeed broadband and i've never experienced this with any other game, maybe the odd glitch but not this serious.

I don't even use the screenshot button, besides I don't have one set up. I just use the 'Print Scrn/SysRq' button on the keyboard, click on the windows keyboard button, open up PSP 7 and paste as new image. Works for me and doesn't include the hud either. personally ubisoft are just rubbish at multiplayer.take silent hunter 3 for example the multiplayer on that is screwed up and now in this. why cant they just give us dedicated servers or direct connections instead of going through them blasted routers that cause so much connection problems. since the 1.3 patch i cant even connect to ubisoft full stop and thats with all the firewall off aswell.

Welcome to the next generation of gaming where you buy the game but you dont realise the other 50% is so hard to use. Perhaps they should sell the game at half price to compensate!

I was under the impression that the F9 key simply dumped the screen to clipboard? I may be wrong though.

I didn't notice any issues / benefits with the 1.03 patch. The only thing the game does sometimes that's MASSIVELY annoying is when you try to pick up another weapon - you drop your gun (usually right on top of the one you're attempting to pick up), and then you can't pick ANYTHING up, so you're left with a Tommy gun...as the Panzer you're attempting to blow up wheels around on you and plants a shell firmly into your....well, you get the picture.

The 1.03 patch did that I no longer can save any changes in my options, either controls, sound or video. It's very bad, now I can't have a better video resolution then default. I can adjust filtering and so on, but the game have to be restarted to get the changes started. But the game don't save the changes... So it's a catch 22 situation. It really sucks! Any ideas what to do?

95% have no problem with this game. Most peoples problems are unstable systems, not all but most.

I have Silent Hunter III and have played multiplayer for 3 months with not one single issue.

I have no issues with BIA. A patch add, I would like something that shows you that ammo or grenades have been picked up, even if it just flash's on off like the magazine levels, + the same that shows you that you have maxed out amo for BOTH your weapons or Grenades.

Well 1.03 completely bolloxed up my game. There's something wrong with the way the game gets inputs from the mouse now. I've played with sensitivity and it just makes it worse. It seems like instead of getting feedback on movement at say, 10 per second it's now like 2 so when I move my mouse jumps all over the screen. There's no discrete movement of the mouse anymore at all. The game is unplayable and there's no way to unpatch the game as far as I know. I am not happy right now.

Nice to know Ubisoft can still manage to ruin a good game. How hard is it to make a patch that does not BREAK the stupid game? I applied the patch, and like most of you, I have issues. Has Ubisoft issued a correction? Or has this been going on since April 6th? If it has, nice to know how important customers are to Ubisoft.

mfg </div></BLOCKQUOTE> That exact issue happens with Americas army, which also uses the ut engine. Yes I am yet to join a mp game-after trying probably 20 times. Its totally ridiculous how such a good single player campaign got released with such a bad mp component. U press refresh or find, and if im lucky I might get 4-5 servers appear(usually in europe)then, its impossible to connect. Messages such as "this game is no longer supported" and "cd key already online"(that happened from the day of release-when I bought it) its a ****ing joke, ubisoft DO suck at multiplayer **** for sure, farcry was another ubisoft debacle.

I am glad you like playing the game hector, but for people like me, who buy the game, get an error when they try to launch it, then patch it with an OFFICIAL patch, and it gives me a GPF, that kind of ruins the experience.

I have played Doom III, Farcry, Halflife 2, and others with no issues. It is something with this game engine I think. It is telling me (after the patch) that files are missing. Well if the patch removes them to be replaced, then there is nothing in the patch to replace them with, it is a Ubisoft issue.

I know it's not my PC. The reply they gave me was to update my video drivers. What? Where did this come from? Either way I did, and it still does not work.

The weird issue is, if I uninstall, then reinstsall, I can play the game ONLY if I launch the game from the end of the install process. Once I exit the setup.exe thread, I can never launch the game. I have been getting this "General protection fault! " warning while quitting the BIA game to Window, ( I just installed patch 1.02 ) then the system just reboot on it's own. I was really annoyed and trying to resolve this problem but getting nowhere...I was almost on the edge of smashing up my PC after several days and nights trying but without any clue at all...

As my display card is WinFast Nvidia 6600GT, I was just wandering their web site to check any luck there, then I found this link, and I didn't expect this could solve this problem, but I was wrong, the BIA works smoothly after following those setps to disable that who-knows-what DEP feature which comes with the XP SP2.

i get that same error with every patch i try to run, old files not found please help also at multiplayers i only can spactate and when the game load to play i get out and get message says "this game no longer available"
