Hi,guys,i have a question for you.At the start of a normal battle, as we all know, you get to arrange your troops or even leave some of them out. Now, the thing is , however, that you don,t know how the enemy troops are arranged on the opposite side ( i hope it's not a bug on my pc http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ).So, IMHO, this may lead to some pretty poor results in a battle if you know what i mean...Is there any skill or ability, that allows you,to see where your opponents troops are on the other side or does it remain a stupid guessing gme all the time?I would imagine tactics might do something like that but can someone confirm that? And if there is no such option then the least nival could have done , was to solve it in such a way, that the attacking faction doesn't know, where the the enemy's troops exactly are, while the faction being attacked does see it ( or vice versa for that matter ). Over and out http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It is meant, so you must relly a little on luck to protect or position your stacks, like, to make one unit unreachable by cerberus or place paladins where it is likely for them to hit something.

Seeing the position of enemy troops is one feature that should NOT be implemented, because:

1. The AI will have a huge penalty against the human player.

2. In multiplayer games, some battles will take like forever to start, with one player arranging the troops in one way, and then the other aranging them so that he can protect his most vulnerable and deal the most effective damage, then the first player rearraning his troops again so that he can again be in a favorable position, then the 2nd...... you get the idea. We'll have one guy always placing the Dragon in such a way that the Dragon will get an efficient firebreath attack, and the other one always rearranging the troops to avoid that (for example). And none will want to start the battle unless he had the last choice in arranging the troops.

I always have the feeling that the A.I. "see" your arrangement... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

But against human player is better that he don't see your position...

BTW, Tactics is a pathetic ability in the Demo, all it does is give you 1 extra row

- It guarantees you'll be able to cross the battlefield in one turn with at least 2 of your creatures in most cases
- It guaratees most of your other creatures will cross the battlefield in 2 turns
- It allows you to better protect your shooters/casters, by placing a large creature in front of them
- It allows you to take a 5th large creature with you in the army, and still display all 7 creatures on the battlefield

I think that's enough for one single ability.

Zam the only problem with the ai i've noticed is that he doesn't change the position of the trops acording to your's. Everytime the troops are placed the same :|.
So a save before atacking a enemy ai hero is in order http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

tactics should give another bonus besides 1 row, or else it´s really pathetic.
