Please put some more effort into the MP:

1. Make the difficulty settings selected by the server the same as you have in Single Player where you can select and deselect a multitude of options (such as external view, etc) in order to arrive at a customized difficulty setting. Keep the four available pre-selects (easy, normal, hard & realistic) but introduce a fifth - customized that allows the server host to tweak it.

2. Allow the results to be saved as either a text file or spreadsheet or printed to a local printer (saving as a file is preferred).

3. Allow demo recording of the mission with sound.

4. Allow torpedo loadout selection for each ship such as in Single Player in base before starting mission in the campaign.

5. Allow time compression in MP!!!

Thanks & may SHIV be the best game it can be.

2. would be a nice idea.
3. Yup, this is missing. IL2 has this and there is a lot of info saved in that game. SHxx should have no problem.
4. If you mean ship (as in sub) you can do this in SH3
5. Probably not possible without too much complexity.
It'll have to be server controlled (the host player) and all on-line with that server will have to agree. then you'll have the problem of one player in action while the others are a few grids away - frustration. Unless you all travel in a pack - back to original concept.

[A]What would be nice is the concept of being Donitz himself, controlling eveything from BDU. You send the subs out, and when they contact you have the choice of either :-
a) shadowing.
b) Let the AI play - (with current AI - say cheers to your crew).
c) get involved with that sub.

IOW's you control the dynamic campaign. This may be a add-on program, similar to the way IL2 does it.
-In dynamic campaigns IL2 creates a scenario script - this is created by the dynamic 'engine'.
-This script is then interpreted by the actual game engine.
-You play the scenario and a results (text) file is ejected - Point 2 above.
-This text file is interpreted by the dynamic engine to produce the next scnario.

[B] To be be able to play escorts or subs.

[C] Code breaking, enigma, purple, etc...

Simple and easy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Time compression would not be impossible, or even difficult. It has been done in other games and should not be a large undertaking with the next title.

And if there is a way to select your torpedo types presently in MP, I'd like to know how.
