Hello, I bought the Collector Edition of Heroes of Might and Magic V, and I haven't been able to play multiplayer through Ubi.com
I've contacted Spanish support service (I live in Spain) but they don't seem to know what's the problem.
Whenever I type the serial of the instructions booklet in the box of ubi.com, I always get this message:

I really want to play multiplayer, so if this has happenned to any of you, or you know how to help me, I'd be glad you tell me.
Greetings!

I had the same problem, then I noticed that my Firewall (Sygate Personal Firewall) blocked the game from going online. After allowing the game to get online everything worked fine http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Make sure no firewall is blocking the game from connecting to the internet.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the firewall, because the game is admitted and also i've tried by disabling the firewall.

does it not let you go past the serial number? o was havin a prob for a bit till i realised you but a - in between each section of code e.g A51-55y (only example not part of any code i know of) does that help?

HoboHansolo, the dashes are necessary, and it doesn't work with or without them.
Another thing I've realised is that I can type whatever I want and the error code doesn't change.

Guys u sure you don't have any firewalls, any anti-viruses with firewall built in (like symanted 2006 and many others) . Please try to turn any security programs off before connecting.

As I said before, I can garantee it has nothing to do with the firewall because I have disabled it and the error code doesn't change.
Furthermore, the error code is the same whether I type the code, or any other thing.

Well this means an network error. Something block your acces to ubi's servers.
Try chaning the port located in global.cfg in My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V\Profiles.(the net one default is 8888, try someting else like 6112 or 6999).

I'm having the exact same problems with my version of HoMM 5 (super collecters edition) - I've tried disabling all firewall or firewall-like programs, including windows firewall, but to no effect. I still can't log onto ubi.com (same errormessage as in #1)
I've also tried changing ports.
I'd really appreciate if someone could help me and all of the other ones on this forum who have similar problems, since I am dying to try out the ghost-mode.

I had to disable Mcafee Virus Scan to connect to the UBI server.. So try that if any of you run that. Once in I re enabled it.. gonna have to find a more efficient way than that though
