Seriously. I just saw the Gameplay footage and i feel so depressed about it. I loved Farcry 2. And the health system there was so good. So why are you removing it and going for bland generic. Your breaking immersion when you do this and for some, like myself, i probably won't buy the game. At least not new. Looks great but why not try doing something a little more unique?

Loved the health system in Far Cry 2, partial regeneration was great and the immersion of having to take cover to pull a bullet out of your leg really added the the experience.

Exactly. Now it's just gonna be another "Take cover till you heal" game which is so boring and generic. I thought they were better then this.

But what if you play on infamous difficulty? What if only one burst of bullets can kill you instantly? A sniper could take you out with 1 shoot. As opposed to normal difficulty and health bar where sniper takes like 1/5th of a health with direct hit and most shooters take so little health. I don't care if the health regenerates or not, there are difficulty elements that health bare game can't have.

Imagine an Arma series with health bar like in FC2, whats the point of it, if 90% of the time if your hit, your dead anyway!

I like the health system in FC2. I don't want FC3 to be another cod-like "Take cover till you heal" game.

I disagree. Yes the system in Far Cry 2 was unique but it got annoying when you were trying to heal and continued to get shot; it dissables you from healing until you got a minute of no gun fire to spare.

I would like to see the health bar of FarCry 2 back too. It's a very unique and innovative system.

THAT was the point, and the challenge instead of having automation do things for you. It made it a highly unique feature, and added to the immersive realism. I can't understand why people play "easy-auto" games, and then seek cheats to give themselves unlimited ammo or life. What's the point of playing? So they can brag they finished the game in 2 hours of release?

I don't know what ARMA is....so your analogy is lost on me. Maybe they should look into Location Damage. Head shot is insta Kill no matter what difficulty.

Which is why you had to plan out your fire fights before you just ran in guns-a-blazin. With regenerative health that is almost pointless. You just go in start shooting and cower till your screen regains colour then return to killing again. It's a tactical Element they removed.

Not very good news! I loved FC2 and really liked the FC2 health system.
Auto-Regenerating health to full is fine for a multiplayer game but not good for the more tactical and immersive approach of the Far Cry franchise.
So go in with full guns blazing then quickly hide behind a rock to fully recover. I am getting bored of all these Cod adaptations.
Just as silly as showing score points in SP, is this also an 'innovation'?
Wanders from my preorder list to the 'wait for the bargain bin' list.
Still hoping developers change their mind or at least allow a different approach for a hardcore mode or similar.
